The Texans released C.J. Gardner-Johnson due to friction and dissatisfaction behind the scenes, as he was critical of teammates, complained about his role and desire to blitz more, and had requested a trade, making him a poor fit for the team's direction after a rough 0-3 start to the season.

Sounds like someone was pulling out all the stops to be released to be able to sign with a contender.

Boy, when you are a team with some expectations and start 0-3, there will be some shakeups....or losing to the Carolina Panthers 30-0.  Those situations cannot happen.

Gotta wonder if that's why the Eagles dealt him to begin with.
