Game week thread - Saints at Bills

This could be a very strange game considering that point spread. Hopefully, the Bills players don't think that all they need to do is show up, and it's a win. 

 

No NFL win is easy, as they are professional players, and this will be their Super Bowl...like it was for the smelly Dolphins.

Patriots seem to give us issues. But it is at home.

I watched Patriots game, they were awful, sloppy and undisciplined. I thought Vrabel was going to fix all that? Maye looked completely uncomfortable in McDaniels’ offense. As for Atlanta, they benched Penix in the fourth quarter and their pass rush disappeared.

I know it is the NFL and you have to respect your opponent etc. etc., but the Saints are a level of bad that you just don't see anymore. There is no one on defense that you really have to worry about. Their special teams has been abysmal. They have okay offensive talent relative to the rest of the league but it's spearheaded by a QB who wouldn't even considered to be one of the better backups in the league.

 

I honesty think we could run our preseason offense and defense and come away with a win in this one. I'd rest anyone who is even a little bit banged up and get some reps in for Landon Jackson and Jordan Hancock.

I watched it as well.

 

The Patriots dominated the Steelers.  No doubt they were sloppy. Two turnovers at the goalline and three others and they only lost by 7.

What are the chances that we can get Chris Olave to defect to the Bills?

As bad as you make that team sound, you can never tell what mysterious ways that oblong spheroid will bounce. I hope the Bills play the starters and put the game away, and then start the backups.

Yes, because the Steelers are awful. Dominated? Those were two teams doing everything they could to lose. What do you think the Bills or Ravens would have done to the Patriots Yesterday?

Every game is different and sure anything can happen but if you want to be the team you think you are you have to beat the Patriots and Falcons. 
 

Falcons will be tougher because it’s a night game on the road but there is no reason a Josh Allen led team shouldn’t handle that. 
 

We always have one game though that we look back on and go what happened though , usually on the road

Imo he handles pressure very poor.  Pressure up the middle he will bail and heave.  He could not beat out Spencer Rattler who I believe is winless as a starting qb.  Shough was the number 3 qb in highschool at one point.  Behind Lawrence and Fields. Losing to either would be coaching malpractice.

They would have scouted him intensely for the draft. Plenty of film on the rookie qb this is a non issue. We just saw a very competitive game with the Phins. I don’t see McD letting up the Bills being ready to go.

Same. Miamis defense was/is awful. They were down to guys off the streets at CB and they kept Buffalo in check. Instead of Buffalo dictating the flow of the game they lets scrubs dictate and Buffalo took the plays that they were given. Yea they won but if a bad defense can say "beat us with screens and shallow passes" what's a good to great defense going to do? Not saying these two teams are good or great on D but they are better than Miami.

The Saints seem to be all-in on tanking for Arch Manning, so this game really is about getting as big a lead as possible as early as possible, then getting as many starters out of the game to avoid injury.

 

I think this is going to be another conservatively called Offensive game plan.....there really is no need to do anything more than that, IMO.

Not worried about this game, but the prospect of a walkover just before a divisional game against a hungry team that keeps losing games it should win does give me pause.

The Patriots turned the ball over 5 times yesterday. That was the first time they have done that in over 15 seasons. To think that’s who they are is just not the case.

 

Dominate? Yes. They out-gained the Steelers by over 160 yards. Held the ball for almost 7 minutes more and had 50 percent more first downs than Pittsburgh, Maye completed over 75 percent of his throws.
