The last time the Bills lost the TO battle in a game, regular or postseason, was January 7, 2024, in the regular season finale at Miami.

Since then they have won the TO battle 19 times, tied it 5, and their overall TO margin is +33 (8-41).

This a remarkable testament to Allen’s growth and maturity, and probably includes a fair amount of good fortune, but the 24-game streak of not losing the TO battle is believed to be the longest in NFL history.

Yes, but it was always overblown because his TD to TO numbers were still staggering.  Regardless, it is yet another area of his game he has worked fervently to improve, and it shows in historic fashion.

It's not just Allen. The Bills have been one of the highest turnover producing defenses in the league almost every year under McDermott.

I know you’re not supposed to expect turnovers and it’s a major effect of a typical season. But there’s no denying the Bills have an unerring ability not just to cause turnovers but to avoid them. It’s not better coaching nor any particular aspect of play so it’s gonna end at some time. But it is most unusual!

Allen is much better.  He has dramatically cut down his fumbles. And Davis is not running the wrong routes...lol

But dont discount luck too much. Allen has had two dropped INTs so far and the INT on the 2 pt conversion doesn't count in the stats. Cook fumble took a nice bounce.

I don’t know that you can definitively say that.  All teams say they focus on forcing and avoiding turnovers, but some are clearly better at it than others.

I'd like to see how many of those are interceptions. I think the Bills have a defensive scheme designed to confuse QBs and the end result is more interceptions. I've also noticed the Bills defenders are throwing a lot of peanut punches. Instead of trying to rip the ball away, they're being taught to throw a punch at the ball. Very effective.

I always associated Allens  turnover situation to

1.) Experience. He use to fumble alot as well as toss INTs
2.) Forcing the ball to a #1 WR in Diggs. Always thought that was causing the Bills offense problems. Its also why I like our receiver situation today over having a true #1. Allen can scan the field and make things happen. No need to force it to a single WR cause they are designated and compensated to have these touches, which I feel keeps Allen from being the best he can be.

Yep, remember when the storyline on JA was that he was a turnover machine?

They used to talk about "sugar high" Josh Allen and they defended that hill to their would be dying breath. Now, some of the same cats who were trashing him for years try to come off like they always knew and believed Josh Allen was great.

E, I’d love to see this continue, don’t get me wrong. But EVERY team is committed to forcing turnovers/avoiding them, so that’s nothing different. Perhaps it’s our scouting dept. that focuses on players with outstanding turnover aptitude..🤷‍♂️

It’s absolutely a particular aspect of play in avoiding them at least.  Josh is throwing into super tight windows wayyyyy less than he used to and he’s been a lot harder to bait into ints

Joe Brady probably has a lot to do with this, as well.

It’s a testament to the players discipline, but I believe that the coaching staff deserves a ton of credit for instilling the mind set on the team. This doesn’t just happen due to a lucky streak. There is luck involved but this pattern is a team culture.
