Winning this game would be huge. 3-0 with B2B wins over divisional rivals. We would have 10 days to enjoy this win before the next game. Also, early season control of the division and this Sunday will be stress free just watching the other games play out knowing the Bills won their game. Of course, the Bills still need to take care of business Thursday night first. 4 2 Quote

I think they let some talent go and back filled with lesser talent. I think their OLine is a mess. I think they need to adjust to how defenses are playing them. Every defense is disrupting their quick timed passing game. They don't know who they are defensively. They are struggling to get in a rhythm offensively. And perhaps the worst thing for them is a lack of leadership. I just don't foresee a way for them to put up much of a fight. It's not often that I am confident in a Bills win, but this is one of them. Miami may come out playing like their hair is on fire. I just don't think it will matter. Bills win. Probably by a lot. Miami and the Bengals are kind of in the same situation... they pay a QB and they pay skill positions. This leaves them not much money for oline and defense and it shows. 3 Quote

I do remember him starting and then getting pulled a couple times to have Fitz try and win the game for them. I remember at the time thinking the coach was terrible for doing that. Play the guy or play the other guy. QB carousels never work. He was inactive after that Broncos game (got pulled during it looks like). And yeah that was a rough move to pull him back in the middle of the game. 1 Quote
Gunvald's Husse Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I know you lot over the pond speak a different English to us on this side but does this make any sense to anyone (it is McDaniel's response to a question about the Bills' historical dominance over the Dolphins in recent years): "I think it's a disservice to all the people on both teams every year when people put history on top of what it [is]," he said. "It's two teams playing each other, and I think generally if you have success in one place against an opponent, over time you do have a confidence whether it's real or not real, it doesn't matter -- you do. And then, consequently, people can have a chip on their shoulder on the losing end of it. "The bottom line is, is all of it is semantics. It's two football teams playing -- one on the road, one at home -- but the individuals are always different and the more you can recognize that and take each game unto itself and alone, by itself, you're shortchanging the process and you'll ultimately fall victim to it. I think over time you have to take each game, each opponent, each opportunity in the National Football League, solely focus on it and everything else makes you worse in focus, preparation and execution." He just seems to contradict himself in every sentence (in addition to talking bollox) Give me our McD over theirs, anyday 1 3 Quote

SCBills Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Annoying to be down Oliver & Milano, but the Dolphins just put 2/5ths of their OL on IR, so I’m not going to complain too much. Re: Milano, it just makes me worried long term. This Defense has a ton of potential, but alot of relies on certain guys… Rapp, Milano, Taron, Bernard, Benford, Bosa staying healthy. Two games in and we’re already having to deal with missed games from Taron Johnson and Matt Milano. That being said.. very quickly it seems clear that the key to this defense is making sure Bosa and Benford are healthy in the Playoffs. We’ve never had a Bosa type power player at this level for the playoffs and Benford hasn’t be available in our Chiefs losses. 2 1 Quote

Pokebball Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Any concern about the visor causing some glare and vision differences for Josh? Simply, he's not use to it and IMO it has to cause some differences for him. Quote
Buffalo Ballin Posted September 17 Posted September 17 One thing is for sure: GM Beane has to go heavy on defense again in next Summer's draft and free agency. Quote

Just seems like we have a bunch of guys on the Back 7 that hold a 20% chance every game, to miss the next game. Quote

Quick timing passing is the only thing Tua can do at an NFL level. He throws to a spot where a pass catcher will be. If he can’t execute that scheme their explosive offense is done. 1 Quote
boater Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Is the game over the antenna in Buffalo? Channel? I'm prepared to stream on Amazon if I have to, but I prefer local TV. Quote

Not trying to be contrarian, and I did zero research to back this up, but injuries are part of every team in the NFL, do the Bills actually have more injuries than any other NFL team? My intuition says no. 1 1 Quote

My intuition says no. I haven’t done any research on it either, but injuries have probably been the difference between the Bills and Chiefs in every one of our playoff losses (minus our first matchup in the AFC CG) Which is why a game like Thursday is so important because getting the 1 seed is so massive in terms of staying healthy for a playoff run. 1 Quote

Hard to say what he's gonna do because the way the rest of this season plays out is going to shift the priorities of the team. Assuming there's no McGovern extension (Which is unlikely) the Bills could have two spots on the offensive line open with Edwards and McGovern being free agents. Also WR still remains a possible sore spot if Palmer/Keon aren't panning out the rest of the way. Quote
