I swear I see Josh more than my own family. The guy is everywhere nowadays.

I went to see Adam Sandler's comedy show in Buffalo the other night and Rob Schneider was the host and did some warm up bits and had a whole bit about how many commercials and advertisements Josh Allen is in right now lol

He's not an articulate speaker...

He is mooshmouth. Same reason that some people advertise more than others. Mahomes is a very clear speaker, for example.

He tried branding the image likeness of his #8. Not the actual number.

Then why was he suing Troy Aikman over it?

He's also suing dale Jr who also has #8 before him.

The guy that invented the Arabic numbering base 10 system several thousand years ago is suing everybody.

He is in some commercials but not like Josh and Mahomes, but that may be because I'm in the DC/Baltimore region.

Does he do an Eastern Motors commercial? I lived out there during the Clinton Portis/Lavar Arrington Redskins years, and those ads were all over the place.

"At Eastern Motors...your job's your credit"

'black subculture' wtf

There's a lot to unpack in that post.  I'm not even taking it out of the box.  Taped it back up and returned to sender.

The Ovechkin outtakes were legendary... "Can you give me some shots vodka please?"

I kind of get what he was trying to say, but I never thought of Gatorade or Oakley as trying particularly hard to appeal to specific groups rather than Americans as a whole.

Some companies do, though. Sprite famously pivoted to marketing towards black communities years ago when 7-Up was outselling them like 5:1, and it was extremely successful.

I liked it

He did some skits and songs and things throughout it so it was a bit different than a traditional standup comedy show.  Some of his stuff can be silly but there was some good jokes mixed in too.

Is this really a thread topic?

Playing sports and performing on commercials are two completely different skill sets. Some things translate but others just do not. Like most things in life; it’s simply not that complicated.

Why spoil the fun 🤔

Lamar was just on Sundae conversation with Caleb last week and Lamar seemed chill and cool. He laughed the whole time. Seems like a good guy to me.

I don’t have a problem with him. I just don’t like Baltimore fans.

I'm actually a huge Lamar fan.  Seems like a really cool dude.

What really strikes me is how he reacts when he loses heartbreakers.  In both this past game & the playoff game, he rushed right up to Josh w/ a smile on his face and gave him a very friendly congrats & hug.  And I've seen him do that in other games, like last night against Detroit.  He's a good sport.

That stands in contrast to what we saw from Mahomes in a similar kind of close loss.
