The Steelers could not run well against the NYJ (2.7avg rush) but Rodgers hit 73% passes and 4 TDs.   

 

The Jets controlled the ball and the clock for big chunks.  Special teams fumble and failed 4th down conversion in the very late stages let them down.

Ravens used crowd noise against them, if you remember,  the Henry fumble , they snapped the ball w 25 on the play clock , so that's a perfect example and certainly an interesting strategy

I’m actually glad we’re playing the Jets for the exact same reason. Gives the defense an immediate opportunity to fix some of the mistakes they were making against the ravens.

One thing I appreciated about what McD said is that they need to have tough conversations. I assume this will be geared toward the younger guys on D, also the safeties, and even LBers. And, hopefully, they reemphasize FG/XP blocking. Someone on X posted a clip of an early-game Bills XP try and the final FG and both times our blocker on our right end blocked outside and let a man through the gap to his inside. We got lucky this time, but they need to coach that (and other things) up.

If the Josh Allen Bills can lose to the Zach Wilson Jets, they can darned sure lose to the Justin Fields Jets.

I know: Different season, different teams. I'm just saying...Any Given Sunday. Divisional games are weird.

I REALLY hate seeing these type of groins and hamstrings injuries that are essentially ticking time bombs waiting to happen.  All it takes is for one wrong cut, one wrong move and it goes from "feeling great" to out for 2-3+ weeks or IR.  It's why it's so frustrating...can feel completely normal when you are out there and then go from normal to "oh sh!t" in a split second.

Very concerning. Our secondary can't catch a break. Now some new injuries to key players like Cook and Rousseau as well. This Jets game is looking like tough sledding. More so than I would have thought. It's still only Wednesday. Perhaps it gets better in a couple of days.

Hopefully Cook is a minor issue. I was VERY unimpressed by Davis in the preseason and in limited  attempts in game 1. Looks very sluggish so far this year.

Luckily we have Ty Johnson.  If Cook is out, Ty SHOULD be our RB1.  But who knows, maybe they keep him in the same role.  
 

that drop was painful to watch as he’s been so money with the Bills, but I’m glad he got it out of the way in week 1.  I expect an efficient and clutch season out of 26

It's because the Jets RBs have to be licking their chops at the Buffalo defense? That Bills D has got to play better and control the LoS, and the secondary is still a big question mark. This could be a let-down game, and because it's a division game, it's really more important than the Ravens game. 

 

Buffalo needs this game to stay ahead of KC and the rest of the AFC. Home-field advantage throughout is something Buffalo hasn't had in a long time.

If Cook is down, everyone moves up a spot. That should include elevating Gore. Gore is not the most athletic guy on the field, but the dude just produces when I’ve seen him play. Granted, it’s been in the preseason with/against lesser talent, but something about that guy. Like his dad, he’s always getting forward.
