chris heff Posted September 8 Posted September 8 GMFB talking about how Bills defense needs help, secondary not good. Josh Allen threw for 251 yards and rushed for two touchdowns in the 4th quarter, and the Bills secondary is bad? Strong made a couple of mistakes, but pretty good nonetheless. Quote
SectionC3 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Said it in a different thread a month ago. Some guys just have an “NFL” look when they arrive. Benford was one. I remember looking at him during a blue and red practice and thinking who the (blank) is that. He just looks the part. Strong is another one. As is Jackson Hawes. 3 Quote

Thats exactly where I was at... I didnt hear him mentioned all night except for what I thought was a very very questionable PI... thats not a bad thing... then again, why throw when Henry is gashing the other team for insane yards... davefan66 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Thought he made a nice tackle on Henry. Squared up and made a textbook stop. Considering Henry is a runaway locomotive when he’s open field, thought it was a good play. 2 Quote

somnus00 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I believe he got the stop on that last 3 and out to force the punt. He misses that tackle and the game is over. Quote
ndirish1978 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 He did pretty well for a 6th rd rookie. If he had gotten cooked like Elam last year you would have remembered hearing his name often. I found his play encouraging, not amazing but that's a pretty difficult situation for your first start. Quote

Big Blitz Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Tough to make a good evaluation of our coverage when Lamar only threw 19 passes and completed 13 of them. But I think he was fine. The problem was our LBs specifically TB and Milano were getting abused in the run game. Quote
pigpen65 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 He was the only DB who didn't look absolutely terrified of the prospect of having to tackle Henry 2 1 2 Quote
Dillenger4 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 He played good! He seems to like tackling and I watched him closely - he was glued to his man most of the time. Quote

One extremely soft PI call compared to what the ravens (and bills to some extent later on) were getting away with lol. That call hurt to watch during my rewatch right now 1 Quote

He sacrificed an extra half second to make sure he had the body position to deliver a take-down hit. He could have gone for the tackle a little sooner, but he probably would have whiffed or been stiff-armed into oblivion. 1 Quote
34-78-83 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Strong got killed on crossers throughout the game. Besides that he was decent, and did make a nice save on Henry. 1 Quote

BillsfaninSB Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Hard to judge the secondary when Henry is untouched for the 1st 10 yards repeatedly. That’s a tough ask for a safety. 1 Quote
