They were taunting.  Hopkins did it right. He scored a TD. He's on the field playing. Simp in the stands watching.

Jackson went looking for trouble and found it.

The Ravens were not taunting, they were celebrating an amazing catch and TD by a great player in his first game with the team. It was his first reception as a Raven and a spectacular one at that, in a BIG game. The Ravens' players just followed DHop, who ended up near the stands, to celebrate with him. Before the first push by the fan, I do not see any Ravens players engaging with the Bills fans in any way (talking, jawing, pointing...nothing). They are just running after DHop to celebrate with him, as teammates should.

I am not sure they also access law enforcement databases which scan against drivers licenses, and any other photo found for facial recognition.

(1) Important point boyst: absolutely cameras everywhere w facial recognition, in stadium. Mature tech and process. You walk in, pic taken

(2) Sworn LEOs absolutely in stadium TOC

(3)Further, the database(s) are in that TOC, this from a direct source I've known for many years (not at Highmark).

But, for variety of legal/civil liberty reasons, would not be accessed unless someone truly f's up, which leads to detainment or arrest, again by LEO.

As an aside: man, you gotta keep your hands off the players, regardless of circumstance.

It's amazing how much people don't see what's in plain sight. I can recognize the UC's at games. I've been to away games and seen them dress in opposing merch. Those guys gotta have some ice in their veins to brush off the small shizzle for the big.

Also, the sniper[s] are always fun there is always at least one. The tactical guys on hand and with full gear and then some next to them.

the ravens players went to the crowd and engaged them. after see hopkins approach the crowd and get the reaction jackson chose to go to the fan for further interaction, deliberately, to physically contact the fan.

No come on-this is just trying to justify bills fans reaching onto the field. Yell at the players, don’t put your hands on them. Being close to the stands and saying stuff to the fans after a touchdown doesn’t justify smacking them in the helmets.

If we reverse the roles, you know that we would be in here crushing Ravens fans for doing the exact same thing

Again, I did not see any Ravens players "engage" or "taunt" the fans before the fan pushed DHop. I mean, how did they "engage" the fans, just by being near the wall? I'd have to watch it again to see if Lamar said something to the fan after the fan pushed DHop, but Lamar did not then engage him physically until after the fan had also pushed Lamar in the head. And note that the push was in the side/back of Lamar's head, which means Lamar was actually walking past the fan, not engaging with him (even after the push of DHop).

And I have no problem with people saying that Lamar should not have pushed back (or should be fined)...I mean that is the rule on both sides. Fans should not be touching the players (or face ejection) and the players should not be touching the fans (or face fines). I just don't fault Lamar that much. It was a heat of the moment type of thing, which we have all fallen prey to at times in our lives. Now if he started throwing haymakers or jumped into the stands, that would be one thing, but it was a push in the heat of the moment AFTER a fan shoved two players in the head unwarrantedly. This was all on the Bills fan, not the Ravens, imo.

My apologies. I didn’t watch the whole video before I posted it. I rewatched it after seeing your post and realized it was a parody video made by a comedian. I’ll make sure any other links I post are legit beforehand. Sorry again!

It was done by comedian Chris Collins.

i got fooled too! It was a great parody!

Lamar Jackson gets zero punishment from NFL is insane. The fact that he was not fined by the NFL is dumb. Pretty much says NFL players can do whatever they want as long as they don't start it. Should never lay your hands on anyone... should have let security handle it. Not defending the fan... he got his punishment. And Lamar should get his as well.

This right here! Lamar needs to be fined at least. It goes both ways. Fan interaction is a suspension in any league.

Unconfirmed statement from Pegula that the Bills would pay any fine that was given to Lamar.

Quote

This was the fan's fault, not the player's.  Jackson's reaction was a natural reflex, and he shouldn't bear the punishment.  If the NFL insists on a fine, the Bills will pay it

This. It’s not common for players to walk along the corners of the endzone in opposing stadiums. Guess they got the reaction they were looking for. I don’t see this happening with any other teams. Not shocked it was the Ravens doing this.

They were taunting, but the fan had no right to reach on the field and touch a player. Two things can be true at the same time.

Going up to the wall is pretty much getting in the fans face. There’s no other reason to go up to the wall instead of celebrating in the end zone. Still, the fans shouldn’t be reaching over the wall. Nor should fans be throwing things at player as they enter the end zone. Some of these fans are becoming worse than Eagles fans.

Exactly. And let's not act like Bills fans haven't been guilty of doing stupid crap during these games.

They were throwing snowballs at players, throwing dildos on the field (hilarious, but I have an 8 year old's sense of humor) & even threw a water bottle at Henry after the TD.

STOP THROWING SH*T ON THE FIELD!

Aside from that, don't put your hands on other players (unless it's the home team jumping int he crowd). Even if a player is bragging right in your face, that doesn't mean you can then shove him in the head. We talk crap to players all the time & expect them not to react. That doesn't mean you can physically push someone & expect the same.

Imagine going to an away game with a friend, your team scores a TD, and you start cheering. Then out of nowhere, someone shove's your friend in the side of the head, then shoves your head. You're not a player, just a fan. You going to take that, or are you going to be pissed? I'd turn around & clock the guy, then probably get jumped by the whole section.

The fan was in the wrong and supposedly banned for life by the NFL.  I'm just wondering how that can ever be enforced.  It seems to me that it would be impossible to keep someone from getting into a stadium.

That's an interesting take man.  I'm going to go look again.

like others have said, facial recognition at the stadium.  Plus ostensibly he’d be on some sort of Ticketmaster “sh** list” so wouldn’t be able to purchase tickets on his own card ever.
