Jackson isn't surprising. We weren't going to dress all 5 DE's, he didn't look ready for primetime in the Pre-Season, and Solomon is a core Special Teams player.

So who starts at corner? Ingram or Strong?

The rest I think are all the expected inactives.

Is Hancock a healthy scratch or still rehabbing the shoulder?

Probably 6 of one, half dozen of the other?

I’m surprised we only have 8 lineman, but so many DBs active.  I was expecting them to plan for more bigger boxes on top of a 4-3.

Should be interesting

My guess is Strong will get the first shot, with Ingram cycling in. If he looks not ready, they'll probably switch to Ingram more.

I'm guessing with no CB elevation, they'll rely on Cam Lewis some on the Outside, if someone goes down.

I suspect a bit of both. I think with where they are DB wise the experience of Lewis and Hamlin would likely have counted against him for that final jersey - but with the rehab that probably capped it.

We're actually carrying more DL than we are DB.

We're carrying 8 on Defense for the 5 DB spots (Both Boundary CB's, Nickel CB, and both Safeties) and 8 for the 4 DL spots.

Brandon Codrington and Samuel Franklin Jr. are DB's in name only. They're active strictly for Special Teams.

Codrington is our Returner and Franklin is one of Tabor's favorite Teams defenders - but neither one of them is an NFL caliber DB. I would be shocked to see as much as a single snap between them on Defense.

I'm betting no matter which starts (my guess is Strong) they will rotate in and out.

They tried 4-3 at Baltimore last year and it was a disaster.

However it would be interesting to see them try it again with a healthy Milano, Bernard and either Williams or Thompson.
