Only one game for McCarthy I know but he wasn't that good in college

Nix was horrible at the start of the year. He didn’t come on until week 4 or 5 (can’t remember).

Thats a fumble. First contact was on the ball not the player. Knee down doesn't mean anything until contact made.

That explanation of the would be fumble makes zero sense unless making contact with the ball is the same as making contact with the player. His knee down means nothing as he can still get up. 

I didn't see him touched elsewhere before the ball came out.

Could have kept Darnold on a franchise tag and kept McCarthy or traded him for other assets 

I dont think Darnold is a top QB but they could have kept him on a one year deal to find out

My kid wears #9 in High School because he is a huge Michigan fan and loves JJ McCarthy.  I hope my kid plays better than McCarthy does this Friday.

The Vikings saw firsthand what they had in Darnold and they knew it wasn’t good enough.  I can’t fault them for trying do better.  This is McCarthy’s first NFL game so I think we need to relax a little.

It feels like Chicago hasn't had a reliable kicker almost as long as they haven't had a reliable QB.

I don’t know if the Bills and Ravens can keep that level of intensity and play up all season… but yeah. Last night’s game was by far the best game of the weekend.  
 

still just a crazy good game when I think about it.
