The Chiefs will get better, but they just lost Worthy for an extended period of time. I'm guessing 6-8 weeks at least. They get Rice back in 5 weeks. Come Playoff time, they'll be the typical Chiefs barring injuries to key players.

The difference finally is the Chargers and the Broncos are very solid football teams. Those two teams, even if the Chiefs win the West, might be the difference in having the Bills or any other team in the AFC getting home field advantage instead of the Chiefs. Thats why its so important for the Bills to not have that one let down game they seem to have every season. I don't even mean a game like the Ravens but you have to beat the Jets in New York or whatever you feel should be a given win.

Agreed.  I’m convinced his haters dislike him for non-football reasons because the dude can coach and does nothing but build confidence and belief in his players.   I’d love to have him as coach.

Nice to see the Chiefs lose, but the world has never known a bigger liar than week 1 in NFL.

They have to run better on offense and fix their secondary to be what they've been last few seasons.

My final thought on this game is that it shows how difficult it is to beat the Chiefs. You have to make like five different game winning plays. If you think you have them beat at any point before the 4th quarter, guess again and buckle up. They have an uncanny ability to steal momentum at the drop of a hat and you just have to ride the wave and find a way to steal it back. Herbert needed to be that dude tonight and he was.

Something that stuck out to me  was Jones and his teammate arguing near the end ,  could be cracks in that culture 🤷‍♂️

I texted my nephew congratulations (he’s a SoCal native and lifelong Chargers fan).  
 

His response:   It was a win for us all!   The world needed this.
