Slippery Rubber Mats Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Figured something was happening here. What does groin doctor have to say about this? 1 3 Quote

I have a buddy who said this is a sports hernia. Has anyone else seen that? I think that probably means surgery and likely out for the season. 1 Quote

Dick_Cheney Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I think we all saw this coming. Prater has a chance to take the job. Let's hope he's good enough that there's no argument about it. 5 2 Quote
Augie Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I wish this was at least mildly surprising. What lingers like this??? How old is this “ailment”? Quote
julian Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Id rather just go on 4th down anyways, FG kickers just hold Josh back from his true potential 3 3 10 6 3 Quote

Total speculation but I thought maybe he even already had surgery because they were so vague about the whole thing. Total speculation but that's what my gut has been telling me. 2 Quote

But I have been wondering if Bass had a hernia/and or hernia surgery that he is trying to recover from and the team is trying to be coy as they manage it. I really don’t understand why they didn’t IR Bass to start the season? The longer this lingers without him practicing the more I question his ramp up time and how significant of an injury is it. Knowing how close most NFL games are, having major doubts about the health of your kicker is troubling. Fully expecting Bass to be inactive for the first two weeks if not longer. Not happy about being right about Bass going to IR or missing games! Edited September 5 by TFBillsfan 3 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted September 5 Posted September 5 (edited) Prater has been quite solid overall since 2013. 57 yarder last year (only played 4 games) 62 yarder in 2023 9 of 12 from 50+ in 2023 Edited September 5 by Warriorspikes51 3 Quote

Just go for it on 4th all the time, no matter where they are on the field. Not sure how it would work out, but it's a fun thought. 3 1 Quote

If not, I think he is out for the year? Quote
