I know the one who will be in my tribute & I'm sure there are many posters who can think of who to mention when the Bills win. I just hope I'm one of the posters and not one of the subjects. Someone needs to take a snapshot of the current posters here so if they don't win someone can remember us after we die when they finally do 3 Quote

I'll still watch every game and even be totally into it, but it won't be this obsessive intense focus that I have now. I won't have that 100 lb. chip on my shoulder anymore. 100% it. If we win a Super Bowl, and lets say the next year we get upset and eliminated in the divisional round....it won't suck as much. It will be a true feeling of "Great season, came up short, try again next year" instead of that gut wrenching feeling that we have to wait another season to get ours. 1 1 Quote
Whites Bay Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Honestly, the closest I've ever come to a moment like that was when Syracuse Basketball won the title in 2003. After what seemed like an eternity of an NCAA tournament, the clock ticked to zero and Boeheim actually started smiling. And I sat there and thought "My team won. That's never happened before". Having been a Bills fan since the 1970s, I guess that's how it's going to feel. Stupefied disbelief. And then I'm going to get the best damn bottle of Cabernet off the rack, blow off the dust, rinse out the decanter, and savor every last drop. 1 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted September 5 Posted September 5 (edited) I know this sounds incredibly lame but my first thought will be that my problems and difficulties in life will be a lot easier to bear Now that the bills have won the Super Bowl Also, the atmosphere is going to be crazy. You know that for at least a month straight you’ll have millions of people taking time off and just partying in the streets or in the most random places. It won’t end with the Super Bowl parade. That’ll be the beginning of a month long festival of city wide fandemonium Edited September 5 by Bills!Win! 3 Quote
Rubes Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I got to experience a championship when I lived in Chicago for several years when Michael Jordan was on the way up. I wasn't a hardcore basketball fan to begin with, and stopped paying attention as a kid when the Braves left, but it was fun becoming a Bulls fan at that time and I sweated it out in those playoff runs almost as much as I would a Bills playoff run. The excitement at the first Bulls championship was awesome, but still nothing like what it would be if/when the Bills win. I did win a state championship many years back in racquetball. The relief and joy on winning it was so memorable. Again, nothing like what it would be for the Bills. 1 Quote
newcam2012 Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I'm going to cry like a baby! Thinking about that is a lifelong dream come true. 2 Quote
Johnnycage46 Posted September 5 Posted September 5 My thoughts will be that I can finally not care about football as much (I'll still love it and love the Bills...but getting at least just 1 SB victory would just complete the picture for me). Quote

I've had this exact thought for after a Super Bowl victory. Already have the first post drafted. Hopefully we get to use it soon! Quote
Mikie2times Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I imagine over the course of the next several weeks it will lead to a lot of reflection. The memories of the Super Bowls and those 90's are just so entrenched in my youth. All those ups and downs and times that followed. These seasons almost act as a time machine. You remember other times in your life and what it felt like in those times when you think about these teams. I imagine I will wake up for about a month straight and it will be my first thought and it will be incredibly positive and in a lot of ways peaceful. I think it will make me a lot more relaxed as fan as well. I can't disagree more with people that think one won't be enough. I'm sure you will always want another one, but it just won't be under the thought of potentially never being able to experience it. 4 1 Quote

I'll finally be able to watch the Four Falls of Buffalo. I'll finally be able to watch highlights from the 13 second game. It will lift the burden off of all those disappointments and let downs, and let me enjoy them as they are, knowing it ultimately leads to the to of the mountain. I'll probably take the entire next season "off". I'm sure I'd still watch, but wont need to be so focused in. I've seen it first hand with a lot of my UGA friends down here in Atlanta. After their first Natty a few years ago, the weight was off, the next season was so easy-going. The fact they went back-to-back then allowed them to take a break altogether. Must be nice! 3 1 Quote

ChevyVanMiller Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I've thought about this, and I know that my thoughts will be of my two long-departed grandfathers who loved the Bills and fostered my love of them. I'm sure that many others will have similar thoughts. 3 Quote

How does Beane continue to bolster the roster to win a few more before 17 rides off into the sunset. With Josh and a nice team put together around him, the goal has to be a dynasty…nothing less. 1 Quote
