i got a little annoyed as well when i saw this. but then again its that time of the year where the bills are to be overlooked. i love it, i mean a year ago the bills were going to be terrible according to these experts and josh was going to have a bad year. oh and the defense was going to suck and the dolphins were going to take the division. experts really missed there.

And no vote for our Coach.

Of course there's no vote for Sean, he's the only coach in NFL history to have a QB with an MVP season and 7 playoff wins yet no Super Bowl appearance. Not to mention, the D has gotten worse since Leslie left.

I don't think any of the Bills will say anything publicly about this, but I wouldn't be surprised if talking among themselves someone might be saying, "We're better than what they're giving us credit for.  Let's show the world we deserve some recognition."

Funny how some want McD fired if we don't get to the SB when the pundits don't seem to think we have much player talent.

Then again, these pundits don't seem to think we have much coaching talent either.

Yeah, I refuse to get butt hurt about individual accolades...W/L and winning the last game of the season is really all I care about...

As someone just released from prison, I can confidently say you have no idea what butt hurt is actually like.

Lamar will win MVP again,  hes going to be on a very good team who tears through their schedule,  and he will play terrible in the playoffs and lose yet again.

Buffalo Bills have always been the under dog of the NFL so this is just par for the course . I would rather have it like this than every one saying they are going to the Super Bowl that is a jinx in and of it self ...

Pretty inconsequential

it’s very rare for an MVP to go back to back so that probably factored into the people that wrote in the article not listing Josh

McDermott would probably have to go 17-0 to get coach of the year since the Bills have been a perennial contender and have Josh Allen

Dawkins is probably the biggest snub but feels like the at is mostly just a name award and Dawkins probably isn’t as big a name as most on that list.

Agreed. Josh's chances for back-to-back are really small

They're tied in betting markets, which makes it even more weird that not one of 20 analysts thought he could win.

They all got 1 pick - so its not as if they got to rank who they thought would finish 1-2-3.  Bo nix felt like a weird choice but who knows i guess.

The Bengals are going to score a lot. I could see Burrow having a fantastic season "stats wise" and if the Bengals defense can be somewhat decent and they make the playoffs then I could see Burrow winning the award. But can that defense be somewhat respectable as many think it will be bad.

Allen didn't even register a single vote to being MVP this year.  Dawkins, who lobbied for the respect and award for Lineman...no vote.  And no vote for our Coach.

McDermott was selected the best coach for this season by CBS:

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2025-nfl-survivor-squad-building-a-32-man-juggernaut-with-one-player-or-coach-from-every-single-team/

"McDermott's Bills win the division essentially every year. Since Josh Allen broke out in 2020, they have won it five years in a row. He has recently come out of his former conservative shell and been willing to show aggression in his decision-making, and even when undermanned his defenses tend to over-perform their talent level. The ultimate success has yet to come for him in the playoffs, but the Bills keep knocking on the door."

He keeps getting sacked 40+ times a year I'm not sure he finishes the year.  Lost in his great season last year was the 9 INTs, 11 Fumbles, and 48 sacks vs. 6 INTs, 5 fumbles, and 14 sacks for Allen.  With Allen winning last year i do think the voters are looking beyond the volume passing numbers at who produced a better offense, and that players role in that offense.  When you have a 1st-team all-pro WR, it can hurt your story as much as a back getting almost 2000 yards.  When you can't run the ball you lose games - They were 3-6 in games where they had under 100 rushing yards.

I also feel like you need to win your division to be MVP, and i'm not sure i see it with that defense.  They also beat a LOT of trash teams last year in a 9-8 season: Carolina, Vegas, NYG, Browns x2, Titans, Cowboys (rush @ QB).

I think it's a real longshot for Lamar or Allen to win the MVP this season.  Lamar has two MVP's and behind the scenes not many want to award him a third until they at least make a SB.  Playoffs don't factor in to this award but there is a carryover in the minds of voters from the prior year(s).

Josh having just won it, would have to do something extraordinary to win back to back.  I don't think that happens.

Keep an eye on one of the other big names to win MVP this season,, Mahomes, Burrow, Daniels, Hurts, etc..

Again, MVP is obviously the most important NFL accolade and sets a player up for earning HOF induction someday.  They like to spread this around to reward players that could be worthy of that distinction.
