He walked off under his own power and was then given a ride to the training facility from the stadium. This makes it sound like he had a major injury when the extent of his injury is unknown. And even that is overstating it. He drove a go-kart to work that day. He was just going home

Yes, Sal C confirmed this earlier this morning.

I have full faith in Joe Brady being able to devise a game plan if Mitch had to start a few games to set him up for success. Much more faith in Brady than I would Matt Canada who was his OC when he looked so bad in Pittsburgh. I will say that Mitch has looked better this pre-season than I expected. I don't think he's starter material, but I think he'd be okay for a game or so.
BuffaloRebound Posted Friday at 02:12 PM Posted Friday at 02:12 PM The lack of depth at DB overall is what makes any of these injuries a bigger deal than they are. Sweating injuries to Rapp and Tre sums up the state of the secondary. Hanging onto guys at the bottom of the roster especially on defense who have already showed they’re liabilities is McBeane’s biggest weakness. We should be churning through the bottom of the roster much faster to find guys that might actually help.

Walking Tall Posted Friday at 02:42 PM Posted Friday at 02:42 PM The cart doesn’t scare me in the context of what we’re hearing. What does scare me is Sal saying Tre was talking with trainers “and hitting the wall”. Obviously, Tre Knows his body and has been through a couple major injuries recently. Him being upset and hitting the wall that surrounds the field seems like he knows something good didn’t happen…..how bad remains to be seen.

But you are right slapping the wall is concerning. 1

JP51 Posted Friday at 03:16 PM Posted Friday at 03:16 PM I am just literally waiting for the update... I am not sure the tea leaves are gonna do it... However, the fact that they let him walk back out to the field to me isnt a bad sign... but who knows... we all want to speculate and hope its ok ... but really need some kind of an update... and who knows when that comes... 2

No good reason that the Bills resigned him and Dane Jackson. For whatever reason Beane can’t get over guys who played for us, once they leave. Everyone has their shelf life. Tre’s has expired. Need some young veteran talent at CB. Hopefully we can put some semblance of a competent secondary on the field when the bullets start to fly🙏🙏 3
Big Blitz Posted Friday at 03:26 PM Posted Friday at 03:26 PM I say this every flipping year. The healthiest BEST team is winning the SB. The Saints can be fully healthy they ain’t winning anything. But of the Eagles, Bills, Chiefs, Ravens, etc - whoever is healthiest will win. The second Aiden Hutchinson got hurt I said the Lions were done. You can’t lose a guy like that for as long as they’d be without him and win it all. Then, their entire defense was massacred. The 1 seed Lions looked helpless vs Washington. There is only 1 thing that can cover your injuries in the NFL. Elite QB play. They have to be near perfect to win the 3 or 4 games needed to win a SB if you are dealing with multiple significant injuries. We have not had ONE Bills post season run under Allen not down at least 1 significant starter on defense. It’s exhausting. 2 1

Any injury days away from cut down day would be concerning to any player. Especially one who's position on team is in question.

The same thing happened with the "season-ending" injury to Hairston....until we hear otherwise, let's all calm down and hope he will be ready to go in two weeks vs. the Ravens. Drama for hard knocks perhaps???

Chiefs are typically the healthiest team. 1) They get the one seed quite a bit 2) Who are their injury prone players? I can tell you ours.. Samuel, Kincaid, Bernard, Milano, Benford, Tre, Taron, Rapp, Bishop. Is it shocking that we’ve been down corners, linebackers and safeties in the postseason? I will say Von at 32 looked to be the difference maker that changed our defense. Thats just horrible luck. Chiefs just extended Chris Jones at age 30 last year. First time I can think of them taking on an aging player with a large financial commitment. Edited Friday at 03:39 PM by SCBills 2

First time I can think of them taking on an aging player with a large financial commitment. Tried to make this point in another thread. We have a large amount of players that get hurt multiple times per year, every year. We have chose to extend these players or further depend on them to be key contributors. More of a shame on us when that doesn't happen and it's not every team either. Lot of teams have Ed Oliver types, James Cook types, our entire offensive line, and they don't deal with this like clock work. We do, we will, no reason to think it will stop. The evidence at this point is overwhelming that it won't. Throw Bosa on your list. 1 1

Probably because of that last game against Chicago. I started wondering if the fact that this team has been knocking on the door for quite a few years but never broken through is starting to take a toll on them mentally. I'm worried, but I worry about everything, all the time. We'll have a better idea of where things stand after the Ravens game. I think it will erase a lot of uncertainty if we come out & just look like ourselves that game, win or lose. 1
