The Tyrod team needed a miracle from the Bungles to get that playoff spot in the last week of the season. We also scored 3 points in that playoff game.

Serious question, do you think this current roster would make the playoffs playing 17 games with Trubisky or White at QB?

Also, if McD is such a great defense coach why is it that his defense is the reason we have lost in the playoffs the last 4 seasons?

Trubisky and White are what they are: backup QBs.  No team is making the playoff with either as their regular starter.  They would not be starting for the Bills, either.

Give McDermott a competent starting QB -- a Sam Darnold, a Geno Smith, a Trevor Lawrence -- and he would take the Bills to the playoffs if the rest of the team was as it is now.

Coaching can only take a team so far.  It can't make up for late season/playoff run injuries to multiple starters.

The Bears actually DID make the playoffs with Trubisky as the starter. Twice.

Did you listen to the Sal clip?  Said he walked up the tunnel to the locker room and then back to practice. After that he got in the front seat of the cart to get a ride to the field house.  Hoping this is a nothing major based on him walking around on it (particularly after the locker room).

Yeah.  Listening to the Sal clip, it definitely doesn't sound like a really serious injury.

Tre White was apparently walking all over the stadium long after getting hurt, and then standing to watch the rest of practice.  Getting "carted to the locker room" was basically him hitching a ride at the end... in the passenger seat... not in the back with his foot/leg elevated.

Now that doesn't mean he won't miss some time.  We are 16 days from the season opener.

It's getting a little concerning with the injuries. I just hope we're able field a decent defense when we go up against the Ravens. Really want to win that one.

Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut.   The Eagles won Super Bowl LII with Nick Foles as their QB.

I tried to skip ahead in the Tre thread to get whatever updates I could find on Tre’s situation. I somehow ended up in this unrelated thread instead.

Update:  there's been no update on Tre's injury from the Bills.

Shows that even with a mediocre QB, a proper game plan can go a long way. I have full faith in Joe Brady being able to devise a game plan if Mitch had to start a few games to set him up for success. Much more faith in Brady than I would Matt Canada who was his OC when he looked so bad in Pittsburgh.

Exactly......I don't understand why everyone has to freak out while only having partial information. The same thing happened with the "season-ending" injury to Hairston....until we hear otherwise, let's all calm down and hope he will be ready to go in two weeks vs. the Ravens.

because it’s Tre White. He has a history of major injuries, we all love the guy and would hate to see him go through it again.

Outside of actual star players on the team (which Tre is not among anymore) this “overreaction” probably does not happen with anyone else

This title is so misleading.  Tre was not 'carted off'.  He walked off under his own power and was then given a ride to the training facility from the stadium.  This makes it sound like he had a major injury when the extent of his injury is unknown.
