When Dawkins pointed to the hawk flying overhead saying, "look at that bird", and Kincaid responds saying, "yeah, I wish that were me!", I was thinking WTF. Is he the flying version of Mr. Limpet? It was crazy to me that he knew what a perigrine falcon was, and how fast it dives, but was like "I think they're only in Africa". Some of these guys are just so incredibly dumb. My hot take at the end of last season was that I think Knox is still the better TE, but Kincaid's athleticism, age, and draft status keep him as TE1. Nothing in camp/preseason seems to have changed that. 1 3 Quote

For what it's worth, we lost last preseason to the Bears 33-6 in a VERY similar game, and responded by going 13-4 and to the AFC Championship. I'm not worried. 2 1 2 Quote
Dan Posted Wednesday at 04:58 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:58 PM If you take McD at his word, after Ciarlo made the good tackle against the Giants, then you have to think Shavers makes the team over someone like Moore. 1 1 Quote

From what I've heard, Shavers has been struggling to find a special teams role as well. But at least he's trying 🤷♂️ 1 Quote

These guys make that NIL money now and maybe don't react the same as they did 5 years ago How many of our 2025 draft picks got NIL money in college? Is it just for stars or is it more widespread than that? Quote

He’ll never be the most exciting public speaker but it seemed to me that he had everyone’s attention. I also laugh (once again) at those who think they “know” McD is boring or passionless. There’s no doubt he is encouraging his team to be aggressive and in attack mode all game long. 4 hours ago, DrDawkinstein said: For what it's worth, we lost last preseason to the Bears 33-6 in a VERY similar game, and responded by going 13-4 and to the AFC Championship. I'm not worried. I'll stand by assessment that McDermott is a poor speaker but that doesn't make him a poor coach. And though I've always felt that fire and brimstone speeches are overrated, in a big game with evenly matched teams the players will just have to find motivation from elsewhere, IMO. He's not gonna light a fire under anyone's ass... at least not mine but hopefully he's a good enough coach to get them to the Super Bowl. 5 hours ago, Mango said: It was crazy to me that he knew what a perigrine falcon was, and how fast it dives, but was like "I think they're only in Africa". One of the most noteworthy aspects of the species, aside from it's speed when stooping, is that like the Coyote, it has become a very successful urban dweller, often living on skyscrapers and feeding on pigeons... like the one that lived on Buffalo City Hall for years. I'm pretty sure that was a turkey vulture that they were showing. 1 Quote
