Actually it was during that scene where he seemed to allude to the effect that his injuries have had on his play... but I didn't hear what he said.

Anyone?

He wasn't talking about his injuries. He was saying that his feet sweat so much it makes it hard for him to plant and break.

Thank you!

That was a freakish amount of sweat btw... I've never seen anything remotely close to that amount of liquid being wringed out of a pair of socks, much less one.

Hairston did a good job of not vomiting.

In retrospect I'm starting to think that was a prank... that he got them wet in the shower or something... can't possibly be real.

If this is accurate, he needs botox injections ASAP, or some other comparable treatment. It’s stuff like this with this team that sometimes it just does not feel like everyone is willing to put it all on the line to win.

Yeah, his position maybe kinda needs to be able to plant and break, ya think? This all sounds kind of ridiculous but like, based on the comments it sounds truly over the top. Might as well be wearing shoes without traction or whatever.

Damn, something about this really annoys me lol I need to take a walk. Let me put on some fresh socks first….

Its pretty wild but I actually sweat that much too.  I have wrung out my socks just like he did after a long run (when I used to run long distance).  My wife and I were even laughing about it.  Tre and I must have been separated at birth....lol

I like the D coach mentioning Josh has be on the field in 3 downs or less, our 3rd down defense was atrocious last year.

Yeah thought that was a very interesting comment especially given that the mostly bend-don't-break philosophy of the defense for so long.  Maybe come regular season we actually will see some more aggressive defensive philosophy changes that people have been clamoring for

Ciarlo sure is a small dude, but had some nice plays.  That Chicago game was as bad as it was live, just a fugly performance

He's listed at what, 6'2 and 225 lbs.?

Toward the low end of weight for a modern linebacker but still quite a large human being

I know he’s around other large human beings but he looked like the size of a safety moreso than a LB.

Disagree with the folks saying McD isnt connecting or his speeches are flat. He's a pretty steady and consistent coach, and the one thing he does well is lead in the meeting room. It's the on-field decisions that have been his undoing.

And keep in mind, he's challenging the whole room to keep the starters engaged when they know they arent even playing in that week's game, while also telling the cusp players what he is looking for in order to make the team.

These are very unique situations in this weird preseason time.

For all the flack I give McD, he is a very good leader in the room.

Best episode so far by far.

Shows our ass kickn.

Will be interesting to see how our team responds.

Hard knocks to blame? Too worried about being funny and not enough slober knocking?

Am I the only one who thought it looked like James Cook came right from a safety meeting and into his Hard Knocks interview/contract signing?

A friend of mine has hyperhydrosis.  If he's barefoot standing on a carpet, it will leave footprints.  It's pretty weird.

This show finally has some meat on it's bones.   Too bad we're on episode 3 of 5..

That's literally dam near every season of Hard Knocks Training Camp. Episode 1 is usually the intro to the team and the coaching staff mostly a puff piece to set up the narrative. Episode 2 it picks up a bit as you usually get the first pre-season game but it's still mostly just diving into the players personalities. Then Episodes 3-5 you really get a lot of "meat on the bone" when you see the aftermath of pre-season games and you get the round of cuts coming in. It's just the flow of Hard Knocks Training Camp that it's usually not heavy until Episodes 3-5.

100% he was stoned, for the entire interview and contract signing. Heard Dan Fetes on the podcast say it was because he was crying. Maybe. But he was still totally baked!

I would hope that Tre as a vet former All-Pro knows this is an issue and usually has a remedy for it. Either Botox of specialized socks of some sort?

McDermott is pretty milquetoast and not a very inspiring speaker, but it hasn't seemed to matter before. I think that element of coaching might be overrated at the professional level.

I can't remember who it was, but some rookie when he joined the Patriots was writing down BB speech, word for word trying to soak it all in and some vet next to him was saying the same speech because he had heard it so many times.
