Based on preseason week 1, the Pats and Jets are leagues better than the Bills, having beat playoff teams by double-digit scores!. And the Fins D just got a 3 and out on the first drive. We are DOOMED!!!!! (or we would be if preseason meant anything).

Also, every rookie and second-year QB looks like an all-pro.

Remember last preseason and how the Steelers hammered on teams. That turned out well.

The entire Dolphins offense just got stuffed on 4-1 on the goal line. 4 straight runs. 4 straight stuffs. That's after complex motion, reserve plays, and those little flip handoffs. McDaniel put it all on film in their first preseaon drive and still came up empty.

Correct, in fact we received word late yesterday that the Browns were retiring Shedeur Sanders' jersey.

There was even a photo and everything.

I am reserving judgment until I see what Jerry Sullivan thinks, vis-à-vis both the NFL and the Bills. 😇

Good God man!

I haven't heard that name in quite a long time.

I hope it was going to remain that way.

Dolphins just gave up a 3-15 conversion to Tyson Bagent and the Bears backup offense. This place would start at least 3 threads if the Bills did that.

The bills Have been doing that. One of the bills/Mcdormetts biggest issues is getting teams off the field on 3rd down. And they looked the part on sat.  Everyone says its "just preseason", But nothings changed.   Opposing teams could be at 3rd and 5 or 3rd and 15.  it feels like 9 times outta 10 their getting a 1st down.

Could definitely be wrong and mixing up one of the many 3rd and long conversions given up by the Bills but didn’t he do that to the Bills last preseason?

Listening to the WGR early morning national guy gush about the Jets pre season game and how awesome Fields was - one of the most obnoxious and silly things I have heard in my life

Anyone else catch this around 530-540 AM?

WGR guys don’t start until 6. At 530 it’s national media.

To be fair, that is 6 eastern.

I am In the central time zone and turn them on when they start at 5 my time each morning.

No I haven't met him. Do you dislike any athlete? Have you met them ?

Have you not heard the reports that gms said it was the worst interview that they ever had? And the video of himself going into the stadium like he's LeBron James last night?

If you like that arrogant, self centred cockiness, you do you. And seriously, no judgement. But not me.

You also said "no one really knows" if he's a jerk or not. But I can tell you He didn't drop to the 5th round because of talent. The guy clearly has massive character flaws

Ok you have good points. No dispute about what happened in the draft and the possibe reasons he fell. Again I don't know the guy but being in Cleveland all the reports are is that he is doing everything asked of him. All his press conferences are professional and his interaction with the media has been basically flawless. Not complaining about his reps or the depth chart. Of course it could all be a well polished act.

And yes I do dislike many athletes. I hate PED cheats and I am fully aware that steroids are used by way more guys than the ones that get caught. So I am a bit foolish sounding there. But I couldn't stand PED Murphy and hope both the current cheats are cut. I hate any player with domestic violence history. If Allen was accused of what Watson did I would stop watching the Bills until he was gone.  I don't really mind diva WRs to be honest. And I really do believe there is a racial bias against black WRs who "can't control themselves" and "passionate and fiery" white QBs.

Let me ask you and please be honest.

What did you think of Jim Kelly?

Now be honest. You said you dont like cocky arrogant self centered guys. So let's hear it, what did you think of Kelly? Was he not all those ?

Ok fair enough buddy.

So the honest answer is I was too young to watch Kelly play. I was born in 1990 so I didn't really remember him or his personality.

I did have the privilege of sitting beside him watching a bills game in 2005 I think it was. And he was nothing but pure class to me, so it's hard for me to talk bad about his character.

But in saying that- I am aware of the reports that he was a jerk on and off the field. I was honestly just too remember to witness any of it

Jayden Daniels should have been the Bears' pick @ #1. They blew their chance. Now they just hope Ben Johnson can salvage him.

I think in general there’s so much pressure on GMs to take the hyped up QB. If they don’t and the player they picked bombs while the other excels, it’s a guaranteed dismissal and a struggle to hold another GM role provided what happened before. I actually can’t remember the last “slam dunk” QB prospect who was passed up for another. I do remember another position back in the day went unexpectedly. I would’ve bet a nice chunk of change the Colts were taking Ricky Williams if he fell to them and they surprised everyone by taking Edgerrin James. Still remember my mouth hanging open, thinking it was the dumbest mistake.

I echo your astonishment.

EJ5 had a monster game vs UCLA that was rescheduled due to the Hurricane. It was ironic. An all time great UCLA team getting upset big time by two hurricanes, dashing their national title bid. The other one ran for over 300 yds if I remember correctly.
