R.O. To make room for DeVito, the Patriots released veteran wide receiver Kendrick Bourne after talks to trade him didn't come to fruition. 1 Quote

You can see there's just a different atmosphere around the team than with other organizations. There's a reason why so many players are very eager to come back. 1 5 Quote

I actually thought there's be more stuff showing the bonding off the field - Catan battles at TC etc - but I think the team has told them to turn the cameras off after a certain time. I did love at McGovern's pizza party his wife was frustrated "he's back for one day and Josh is already texting everyone to come over to his house" 😆 4 1 Quote

If only they can do it with the Sabres now. Quote
boyst Posted Thursday at 08:55 PM Posted Thursday at 08:55 PM not sure who to quote here but it's a paradox. while it is great for the players to have a family atmosphere and have such a high standing calibre of teammates it is also about building a football team. that football team is not always going to be boy scouts. you will rasheed rice, ray lewis, and others. this is not a complaint, per se, as i cheer for the laundry while i appreciate some players for who they are and what they offer the community. anyone being anything more than not a bad guy is good enough. 2 Quote

But just the way they interact and talk with each other and how they talk about the experience really does comport with how the players present and former talk about the organization/city/team. Quote

Both of these are true and both of these are good things. Another benefit of a strong culture is that you can take in some talented players, who are maybe not the highest character players, and the culture carries them so that you can get the benefit of all their talent. The players police themselves, as it were. If you have too many of them, things unravel. It is like back in the day when people like Kelly used to talk about the over/under on the number of players you could have from the U. They were good players, so you wanted some of them, but you didn't want too many. Quote

Dolphins are going to be a massive sheiotshow this year. I think it depends on how they start. If they get a few good wins early it could lead to one of those "no one believed in us" things where they start feeding off the momentum and it brings them together. If things go south early they could completely fall apart, then you'll have guys like Hill making even more of an a$s of himself talking trash on social media and trying to engineer a trade. For all Tua's faults they are a much better offense when he plays because he's so good with the timing and quick throws, so any chance they have to even be in playoff contention is dependant on him not missing time, which is a big if. Ehh, I predict it will go the same as the last few years. They start out ok as "kings of September", but then once that crisp October air hits they freeze up and go back to their south beach jacuzzis and fall apart through the rest of the season. So, strong start, but that momentum will quickly crumble. 1 Quote
