Another Fan Posted Thursday at 11:41 AM Posted Thursday at 11:41 AM Or every year since you’ve become a fan it’s been the same amount of passion every year? From 2001-2006 I did fall a bit of Bills fandom/following the team. Largely a result of being in college those years and not really much stood out from the team. Just in retrospect Drew Bledsoe from memory. 1 1 1 Quote
Whites Bay Posted Thursday at 11:45 AM Posted Thursday at 11:45 AM Late '70s into mid-80s during undergrad and grad school. Just didn't have time to sh!t or wind my watch. Given the state of the Bills back then, the timing was fortuitous. Quote

BillsPride12 Posted Thursday at 11:47 AM Posted Thursday at 11:47 AM There were some years during the drought where I still watched/followed the team but I just knew they were a horrible team and had no actual faith in them accomplishing anything. I would call those seasons "going through the motions" years for me 4 1 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted Thursday at 12:01 PM Posted Thursday at 12:01 PM Lots of people rave about the Gailey/Fitzpatrick years. To be honest I wasn’t too thrilled with having Donald Jones and David Nelson and Naaman Roosevelt as our receivers. What a waste 1 2 Quote
Gregg Posted Thursday at 12:05 PM Posted Thursday at 12:05 PM As a Bills fan, I am always interested in the Bills. Even when they sucked for most the 70's, 84 and 85, and the drought years I was always rooting for them to win. It wasn't fun losing most of the time, but I never lost interest in them and never will. 1 4 1 Quote

Just in retrospect Drew Bledsoe from memory. After the first year here, Bledsoe did precious little standing. It was then either stumbling or picking himself up off the turf... * Try the nightly dinner special! I'm here all week! Quote

My wife and I had Sunday Ticket and would end up falling asleep on the couch most second halves because we were so Billsy. 1 Quote
RoscoeParrish Posted Thursday at 12:17 PM Posted Thursday at 12:17 PM The dog days of 2016 were some of the toughest weeks to watch. in the last 25 years, I have probably missed 4 or 5 Bills games and 3 of them may be from that year. 1 1 Quote
HOUSE Posted Thursday at 12:26 PM Posted Thursday at 12:26 PM I had more fun when the Bills were horible. Rob Riddick was Rob Ridiculous, Kenny Jones was Kenny sure grip (always holding) So I was never down on the team but it was exhausting. Look at the board now, it was busier when the Bills were bad. 2 1 Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted Thursday at 12:38 PM Posted Thursday at 12:38 PM So I now live down in North Carolina for close to about 17 years now. After the 2015 season, the Bills were pretty much losing every year so decided in 2016 I'll maybe start following the local team the Panthers. They're on TV every week, in the local papers to some level, not like in western NY and they just finished 15-1 and lost in the SB. I wasn't going to ignore the Bills, but wouldn't bother trying to find a way to watch a Bills game when had the Panthers on local TV and newspapers. They went from SB lose to 6-10, finished in last place and started the season 1-5. After that start I kind of gave up on them and went back to the Bills who actually finished wit ha better record in Rex's last year here. Haven't wavered since 1 Quote

GunnerBill Posted Thursday at 12:42 PM Posted Thursday at 12:42 PM Not disinterested, no. But in 2015 and 2016 I did not enjoy watching the team. I hated Rex Ryan with a passion. And I found Tyrod a tough watch. They sucked all the joy out. 4 1 Quote
Maynard Posted Thursday at 12:47 PM Posted Thursday at 12:47 PM I’ve always watched and always defended them, even when people would laugh at me for being a Bills fan. I’m not even sure I’ve missed a game in the last 20 years. Quote
MJS Posted Thursday at 12:54 PM Posted Thursday at 12:54 PM Not really. The drought was pretty much all I knew. I was too young during the superbowl years. So, I didn't know any better. 1 Quote

loedward22 Posted Thursday at 01:05 PM Posted Thursday at 01:05 PM No, never disinterested. The least interested I ever got was during my college years ~1998-2004 and even then I was heavily interested. Just not as much as before and after because of how many distractions there are associated with college. Quote
