Special K Posted Wednesday at 11:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:08 PM I did a few of these last year before training camp, and then revived them towards the end of the regular season to see how we all did. This is 2025's first installment: Everyone is excited to see how the Bills revamped D-line is going to fare this season....this question focuses on the Defensive Ends. I think the success of the pass rush will be determined by two things.....the strength and stoutness of the Bills new interior D-lineman, and the health of Bosa. I decided to leave Hoecht off the list since he will miss the first 6 games, and because I am not sure if he will get more snaps at DT or DE when he gets back. My prediction: I know that 24 sacks to reach the over is a high bar, but I'm taking the optimistic route and going with the over. The Bills have a strong DE rotation that will hopefully limit Bosa's snap counts, thus keeping him fresh and healthy throughout the season....I'm also expecting a stellar rookie campaign from Landon Jackson as well.. Bosa: 8.5 sacks Rousseau: 7 sacks Jackson: 5.5 sacks Epenesa: 3.5 sacks Solomon: 2 sacks Total: 26.5 sacks What do you think??? 2 1 1 Quote
BullBuchanan Posted Wednesday at 11:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:25 PM It better be over by at least 4. If it's not over, we probably miss the playoffs. Why the massive regression for AJ? 1 Quote
buffblue Posted Wednesday at 11:37 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:37 PM Over but not by much. I think the vast majority from your group will come from Groot and Jackson Quote
uticaclub Posted Wednesday at 11:49 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:49 PM Boss: 1.5 sacks Rousseau: 8.5 sacks AJE: 6 sacks Jackson: 4 sacks Solomon: 6 sacks These are very low end estimates and you get there pretty easily, hopefully we smash these stats. 2 Quote
Sojourner Posted Wednesday at 11:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:57 PM The additions of Sanders, Ogunjobi and possibly Walker to pair with Oliver should collapse pockets better leaving those edge guys with a significant amount of 1v1’s. Im with @Victory Formation, over. Easily. 2 1 Quote
3rdand12 Posted Wednesday at 11:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:59 PM The pressures will go waaay up and so will turnovers Eternal Bills optimistic here , but pretty sure I will be proven out 10 minutes ago, uticaclub said: Boss: 1.5 sacks Rousseau: 8.5 sacks AJE: 6 sacks Jackson: 4 sacks Solomon: 6 sacks These are very low end estimates and you get there pretty easily, hopefully we smash these stats. atlbillsfan1975 Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM Double digits from Rousseau. Bosa and AJ each get 6-8 and I really like the Jackson kid. Over is my vote. 3 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM I want to believe... but 8.5 for Bosa seems much higher than my expectations. 2 2 Quote
H2o Posted yesterday at 12:15 AM Posted yesterday at 12:15 AM Even without Solomon, they will be over. That would only call for 6 sacks from each of Jackson, Rousseau, AJE, and Bosa. Easy over imo. 1 Quote

I think this is closer than the original. I would probably go something like this Boss: 5 sacks Rousseau: 9 sacks AJE: 5 sacks Jackson: 5 sacks Solomon: 2 sacks Edited 15 hours ago by Mikie2times 2 Quote
HOUSE Posted yesterday at 12:47 AM Posted yesterday at 12:47 AM (edited) Just like Cole Beasley It's over . Edited yesterday at 12:55 AM by HOUSE 2 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted yesterday at 01:09 AM Posted yesterday at 01:09 AM I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but what are the comparable numbers? How many sacks did we have as a team last year? How many sacks did the top 2-3 teams have? Quote
eball Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM If it isn’t way over we’re facked. 1 1 2 Quote
Billsfed1 Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM I think overall we’ll have a good number but it’s a little of everything. Edge, DT, linebacker, DB’s. I think the guys up front in general will have a good year. 2 Quote
BarleyNY Posted yesterday at 02:41 AM Posted yesterday at 02:41 AM Bills DEs had a total of 18.5 sacks in 2024, 23 in 2023 and 26 in 2022. 2022’s success was behind 8 each from Miller and Rousseau. 23.5 probably would require Bosa to stay healthy and ball out. 1 1 Quote

He wasn't very productive last year in LA; hopefully, he will thrive in a new system and come close to 20 sacks himself. Any production we get from Bosa should be seen as found money. 1 1 1 Quote

I was just projecting that AJ's snap count may be lower this year if Jackson is as good as we all think he will be......he may even lose snaps to Hoecht when he comes back from suspension. I have Solomon's total low as well because he may be a healthy scratch most weeks unless there is an injury. Quote
