Spotrac shows that Hairston, Sanders and Walker have not yet signed.

FWIW.

Not worth stressing at this point since the media has been silent about it... once the media starts to howl, it'll still take a while to be concerned; as their job is to get ppl riled up and angry. create a story outta nowhere.  if there isnt even a media frenzy around it, I can reassure you there really is NO STORY to be had lol

I think there will be a post June 1st cut and then Beane has enough to sign all 3.

If their job is to get people riled up and angry, they would probably be doing that today.

Maybe that's not their job?

Heard something yesterday on Sirius XM that 2nd rounders seem to be the toughest to get signed this year.  Agents have been showing teams that 2nd rounders are nearly as successful as first rounders, but they have a much lower pay scale and no 5th year option.  Agents are looking for more guarantees and incentives, and front offices are balking.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the only guys that ever holdout anymore are fighting about offset language. And for some reason I think it only applied to third round picks. Maybe this is outdated but it is so very rare for any draft pick to hold out now.

I keep seeing people post this. Teams don't have to literally wait until June 1st to make a Post June 1st cut.

They could designate up to 2 players as a Post June 1st cut prior to June 1st and they haven't made any of those moves so far. So if that was the plan, they could have done that at literally any point this offseason. There's no difference between doing It after 6/1 and doing it before the. and assigning the designation of a "Post 6/1 Cut".

Also, looking at the roster, there's really no candidates to cut to create space. Again, if there were someone they had in mind, they'd have just done it by now. There are a number of other ways they could come up with cap though:

- a Dion Dawkins restructure could save up to 9.8m

- a Dawson Knox restructure could save up to 6.3m

- a Connor McGovern extension could save up to 4.2m

And those are just the obvious ones that were suggested by different analysts prior to FA. There may be others that I'm not privy to. My guess is one or more of those things are going to happen.

Last year eight draft picks signed on June 4th.  Keon Coleman signed on June 17th.  Don't know the reason for the delay.  Joey Bosa ironically was the closest rookie since the rookie wage scale in 2011 to hold out until he finally signed in late August of 2016.  Even his brother didn't sign until right before training camp.

wgr said something that a couple second rounders signed fully guaranteed deals and now all the agents are looking for that
