Billsfed1 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Couldn’t be any better IMO. Baltimore (like Cinci) tends to stumble outta the gate a little. They’re probably the hardest team we play all year, but it’s going to be a historic home opener. I feel like everyone in the stands is paying the premium price for tix this year and will make the most of their experience…and really support the team on game day. Just beat these guys and it’s really only the Eagles to worry about at that point. Week 1 this year, given the circumstance couldn’t break any better for us 1 1 1 1 1 Quote

boyst Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The ticket prices won't have 1 effect on the game. What will have an effect is that Lamar Jackson doesn't grow or change, develop or or learn in the off-season. His pure elite athleticism combined with his electric play making ability are the center point of his success. Against elite athletes who are dialed in this mentality can only get you so far. The ability of Lamar Jackson is like Jaugernaut. He needs inertia to get himself moving. The NFL of today doesn't get that going in preseason. Lamar Jackson has to have himself a day to come out on night 1 of the NFL season to succeed against the Bills who have improved the talent on the roster from 2024 At the end of the game I think we see a competent Jackson who does enough to win a game but does not "go off" like he does in other games. His momentum won't be there, the chemistry from his team won't be there; Likely, Flowers, Bateman, and Andrews will have to find spaces to catch the ball roaming free and Jackson will have to find them. Week 1 will be determined by Henry. Not because he is big bad Derrick Henry. Henry will pound the ball, hit the holes, and introduce every Bills defender back to the regular season in a flash, a thud, and a bang. Jackson must put the ball in Henry's hands. 1 Quote

eball Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I agree that this is a great opener. There are still a lot of people saying the Bills should have lost the playoff game and were outplayed physically by the Ravens. I don’t agree. The Bills led that game almost the entire way (after Baltimore’s opening TD) and Buffalo RBs (not Allen) rushed 26 times for 127 yards against the vaunted Baltimore run defense. Did Lamar make a couple of mistakes? Yes. Did the TE drop a tying 2-pt conversion? Yes. But the Bills played mistake-free on offense and drove for two 4th quarter FGs to keep the Ravens at arms length. If Baltimore had tied it, the Bills still had time to go and get a winning FG of their own. It was hardly a game Baltimore “dominated” and then bungled away. I’m looking forward to the new pieces on D and how the offense will evolve further under Brady. It won’t be the end of the world if the Bills lose, and it won’t mean they’re going undefeated if they win. It will simply be a great opener between two excellent teams. 3 1 1 Quote

The season is a marathon not a sprint. Yes, beating the Ravens in Week 1 will help us on our way to get the #1 seed in the conference but as we saw last season when they kicked our buts in the regular season, what matters more is how you play in the post season. 1 Quote

Ogunjobi was worse last year than jones. He was worse against the run and among the worst tackles vs the run. that is why Pittsburgh dumped him. Kind of odd seeing everyone rag on Daquan Jones here and then promote ogunjobi as an improvement. factoring in the suspension and the draft the guy may never play a snap in Buffalo. Quote

I have seen it with the Jets and Giants. Giants Stadium would get really loud, but MetLife is as loud as a library. When many of the real fans get priced out from going to the games then this is what happens. 7 hours ago, Billsfed1 said: Couldn’t be any better IMO. The Firebaugh Kid Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) It’s a very very even matchup. I like the bills simply because they’re at home. Sucks to be out 2 defensive players but they did well against Henry in January last year. At least in my eyes. Maybe Baltimore gave up on the run too soon? The Bengals defense was pretty bad last year. Unless they fix that side of the ball, I don't see them as a threat despite having a really good offense. Look at the year Burrow had and where did it get them. It's similar with the Bills, the defense hasn't held up their end of the bargain which is the main reason Allen hasn't played in a Super Bowl yet. 1 Quote

TheWei44 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The first game of the season can be more of a crapshoot than later in the season, but I don't think that necessarily favors one team over the other. This game is similar to playing KC in that we've played them so much recently it feels almost like a divisional game. A bit concerned that Henry will be fresh since it's the start of the season, but I suppose our guys will be fresh too! Should be an excellent game. Go Bills! Quote
