The weaknesses that his critics keep bringing up -- his 40 yard speed and his difficulty getting separation -- are pretty inconsequential in the tight quarters inside the 20. It has been brought up many times how relatively slow Coleman is..and accurately so. But what I do find interesting is that his numbers at the combine were virtually identical to Nacua. In fact, I think Coleman was actually a bit faster in the gauntlet drill. So what is the difference between their games? Does Nacua have a skill set that Coleman doesn't have? Maybe with a second more healthy season with Josh Allen will bring out aspects of his game we haven't seen yet. 2 Quote

McVay puts Puka in positions to succeed. 2 1 1 Quote

Maybe with a second more healthy season with Josh Allen will bring out aspects of his game we haven't seen yet. The single biggest difference is that Nacua isn't playing an X WR role. For the most part he's facing a different set of defenders than an X WR would face and in general he's catching much shorter throws as evidenced by the fact that Coleman averaged 7 more yards than him in ADOT. Nacua isn't the decoy he's the guy benefiting from it. Coleman still averaged more YAC than Nacua. There's plenty of reasons to be encouraged by Coleman but given the position we have him playing and how we use that position he's probably not going to see 120 targets and his catch rate even with a good year will probably be 55 to 60 percent. If he learns a few Gabe Davis routes and Brady finds some use for his YAC ability and mixes him in a little more it's not out of the question he could have 800 or 900 yards and 6 plus TD's next year. Given our running game and Shakir and Kincaid taking over the higher volume stuff that would be decent production from the guy who's probably your 3rd or 4th option. 3 Quote

We did well in the transfer portal and recruiting. Now coaching has to do its job. SI and a couple others say OU has the hardest schedule. Joel Klatt Venables is a gonner if there isn't a massive turn around. I saw that your freshman QB from last year Jackson Arnold transferred to Auburn. And didn't you bring in a guy named John Mateer, who I believe is from WSU if I am not mistaken. Venables was a good DC at Clemson. But its a whole different story to be a good head coach at a big time program. Should be interesting. The defenses you guys are playing against are probably a lot better now than in the Big 12. Although I really like Big 12 football. A lot of solid if not great teams. And the games are usually real competitive. 1 Quote

A lot of resources went into the OL and DL so that should help. I am hoping Venables calling the defense will help as well. Quote
JakeFrommStateFarm Posted yesterday at 07:58 PM Posted yesterday at 07:58 PM Its up to Brady to scheme him open as well or rotate him into slot at times. Bills need some creativity on offense. 1 Quote

The play Arnold tried to make at the end of the Missouri game was something when he got spun around and the ball got flung backwards and ran back by Mizzou for a TD. I think I had bet Oklahoma that night, and was counting on them driving for the winning score, and instead Arnold fumbled and the ball was returned the other way, and Missouri covered. 1 Quote

I rarely thought Brady made bad play calls designs, I think where he has to improve is having a few more layers to his offense and I think much like Andy Reid has his "S Level" stuff for the playoffs I think Brady has to develop that extra set of plays to keep in his back pocket. I feel like KC will probably keep 10% of their playbook off film during the regular season only to unleash it throughout the playoffs (likely I would assume practicing the plays in closed settings throughout the season to keep them sharp). I would like to see the Bills have that type of elite level plays that they save for key situations. Quote
