Malaki Starks wants to pick off Josh Allen most

I suppose this is just Starks saying he wants to beat the best, but it also comes off a little like Jalen Ramsey's "trash" take. As a rookie he might want to actually do something in the league first before calling out the MVP.

My brain also went immediately to Jalen Ramsey. Starks needs to go watch tape of what Josh did to Ramsey on the Rams and Dolphins. It was filthy.

 

I'm legit scared for this kid's safety.

Behave. He isn't calling out the MVP. He is doing exactly the opposite. He is saying that guy's the best so that's the one I wanna get.

Oh, I think we all "get" what he was saying. Doesnt mean that it wont go right onto Josh's bulletin board to be used against him later on.

As is well known on these boards I think bulletin board stuff is total mumbo jumbo placebo effect. It has no impact on performance.

You don't think Josh Allen getting called the most overrated player by his peers and media, provided any motivation to him this year and didn't impact performance?

Not a big deal, but I prefer guys showing us things on the field over saying things off the field. Especially the young guys.

He is literally saying this about the MVP who quarterbacked his team to a victory over a great Baltimore team (the team that drafted him!) in the playoffs--a game in which Allen threw no picks. Why do people have an issue with this?

If yall dont think Josh will be planning something special for this kid, then yall dont know Josh or these high-level competitors. They use literally anything. Often times even manufacturing grievances in their own head to fuel the fire. Watch any documentary/30for30, you'll hear about it often.

No I don't think it did. I think Josh Allen being in a better place mentally away from football and in a better designed offense that sought to simplify the decisions for him and reduced the opportunities for him to get himself into trouble were the factors behind it. Oh and just his insane level of natural talent. I think Josh Allen is a guy with incredible natural drive and determination to win. I don't think he needs people talking about him to foster that.

Michael Jordan used to make up things in his head of what his competition said about him.  It motivated the ***** out of him.

Yea. Placebo effect. They think "man I'm gonna be so focussed because of that" but when they get on the field that isn't what makes him make great throws, or good decisions. It's technique, talent and split second decision making.
