I usually see one of these threads every year to discuss pricing and deals, so thought I'd start it up.  Prices keep going up on YouTube.

With You Tube TV subscription:

Sunday Ticket $378

with RedZone $422

YTTV subscription fees are extra

Standalone:

Sunday Ticket $480

with RedZone $522

No separate tv package needed

Student Plan:

Sunday Ticket $119

with RedZone $129

Will need to verify student status

No separate tv package needed

I got the standalone ST + RedZone the last 2 years and worth the cost but starting to get steep. Last year around this time, they offered $100 off for signing up early but I see nothing out there as far as discounts/deals this year.  Please post if you got em.

@nucci has been on the phone with YouTube all day looking for a deal...but his customer service rep just got called away to join the Indian army in their looming war with Pakistan, so he'll be on hold awhile...

Seriously, anyone know how the student option works?  You just need to sign into their YouTube account on Sundays?

Yeah, you'd login on their account but one major caveat:  Access limited to one device at a time. Family sharing not included.

I was a Sunday ticket loyalist for years, however, there are so many Bills games now in prime time spots that it really is no longer worth it.  Games that are not on local TV are available at a few local bars.

That is one hell of a discount though, basically 75% off

That's the really annoying part for me is to help my Dad with all that from a different state. I get him Sunday Ticket every year but then I also have to help him with downloading all the other 5987094874 apps the games are on outside of that if he can't go to a bar that day.

They've jacked the prices up and made it ridiculously complicated at the same time.

I'd be totally fine with the price if they just made it easy for an old man like my pops to watch all the games all in one place.

Thanks, another dumb question: can the student still use plain old YouTube from 1:00-7:30pm on Sundays if they're not watching ST?

No, you get on line, have your kid’s student ID, and they typically don’t question.  My two sons use their ID for themselves, so my stepson Iuse as neither is a NFL fan.  They don’t care and I do a lot for them.  I make them dinner multiple times a week, amd helped the older one get his first car.  It was funny as he asked me as he left the one dealership, how I could be tough on them.  I responded it’s how these guys operate.  Be nice until it’s time not to be nice.  (We managed on the fourth dealership to get him a great deal).

My son finished classes in December.  Graduates in a few weeks.  So I just jumped on the student site.  Got the 119 price.  Heck they didn't even ask for a student email.  Your mileage may vary...

Awesome. I'm assuming you used his name and school credentials. I have 2 nephews in college and would do this in a heartbeat if we didn't need multiple streams going at once in the house.

That's the thing.  I didnt.  Last year I did.  They must have cached the info becuase it didn't ask and it didn't run the background check this time.

It was this time last year they offered the $100 off, as was right prior to schedule coming out. Probably they figure once schedule is out as you see the Bills or whatever team you're following is on maybe 10 games already, why bother getting it.

Haven't tried this in a couple years, but use to be able to spoof IP address and then watch came on local Buffalo CBS station,  you did need a Paramount + account, but that was less than $10 a month.

FYI anyone considering this, they usually give a really nice discount for cyberweek and I believe it was $89 last year for ROS (6 weeks I got starting the weekend before thanksgiving).  It was cheaper per week than any preseason price.
