Jackson RAS score is 9.88. 

 

Epenesa RAS score is 4.07

 

What does this mean? No idea but Jackson is far more athletic.

Agreed.

 

No one who has watched tape of both players would ever compare the two.

 

It's one of the most bizarre and inaccurate comparisons I can recall.

I’m not disagreeing with you but Epenesa has also completley transformed his body from a power rusher to more of a speed rusher. Epenesa did all of his drills at like 280lbs. Jackson plays at 280-290 but dropped weight for the combine to time better. I feel if Epenesa did his drills at his current weight his RAS would be closer.

I doubt it. It doesn't really work like that. Dropping 15 pounds doesn't up your RAS score from a 4 to a 9. One is an elite athlete and one isn't. Watching their college tape it is no contest. Landon Jackson is much more fluid than Epenesa.

Just keep in mind that RAS is calculated using only the data available. Anything missing isn’t factored in. For example, Jackson didn’t do the 3 cone or 20 yard shuttle drills so his agility isn’t part of his RAS score. Obviously agents want players to maximize their players’ scores so they would tell them to avoid any testing that would lower it substantially. The other popular tactic is to split up different measurements. For example, put on some weight for the combine but run the 40 and other agility drills at the pro day (after they shed that extra weight).
