At least Moore only costs money. I like the idea of a 25 yo player more than bringing a player like cooper. Did they need it last year, yes. Did he help, in a sense. Either way, did you really think that the QB talent in Cleveland should have been more productive than it was? I'll take a flyer on a guy who hasn't worked out with other teams over the older guy who "still kinda has it but lost a step". 2 Quote

He offers way more value than codrington does as solely a PR (he provides nothing at corner and they pulled him from KR later in the year last year He has exactly ZERO career punt return yards. And only 708 career KO return yards...just over 450 of that were last year. Not really impressed there. Quote
UKBillFan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago So here's the wide receiver. Would I still have liked a move to draft Thornton, Royals or Horton? Yes, sure, even with Moore seemingly now in the room. But this is a positive move in terms of talent, variety and depth. 1 Quote
MasterStrategist Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 47 minutes ago, HappyDays said: That's exactly right. Fans overrate how much extra production WRs get from elite QBs. Chase and Higgins were still elite when Jake Browning was their QB. The example I always use is Tyreek Hill got more production when he went from Mahomes to Tua. WR production is about a whole lot more than their QB, and most of it rests on the WR themselves. I'm struggling to think of a recent example of a WR where the light suddenly clicked on after getting a better QB? It didn't happen with Kadarius Toney or Chase Claypool or Nelson Agholor, etc. Don't tell this to @GASabresIUFan....I've heard QB play is the differnce. All seriousness, I agree that WR production is usually system/fit/opportunity, and having a bad QB isn't going to swing the needle much. Especially for a slot WR, who does a majority of work underneath...it's a bit different for a boundary WR IMO. Moore is good depth for Shakir, when Khalil is out this offense loses ALOT. I'd trust Moore to step in, and hopefully he can add additional value in the return game (so Codrington has competition/potentially frees up a roster spot). This is a better Kj Hamler depth guy IMO 1 Quote

hondo in seattle Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Weirdly, I'm very happy with this signing and yet at the same time I don't expect much from him. I think he'll be the #5 receiver and will see only see limited action in specific packages - unless of course there's an injury. I think we now have a respectable, though certainly not elite, WR room. 1 Quote

Fast. Outside and slot ability. Big fan of this. Hallelujah. Now maybe fans can calm down and wait for camp to begin stressing over the strength and weakness of our WR corps again. Why look at a signing like this with anything but optimism? I mean seriously. They didn't draft but they signed a free agent. Who would love to play for #17 in Buffalo. Helps him out of Cleveland. Helps US out of a WR "controversy" WIN WIN Edited 8 hours ago by muppy 1 1 1 Quote

We need him to play a specific role of outside threat and deep ball catcher. If he serves that role well, this is a win. We don't have that role player at this time, cos I don't trust Samuel to be it. 1 Quote

Its a must when you are in salary cap purgatory i wish we would have drafted a qb late. Strictly as a backup. lets face it, if josh goes down we are done. But a late rd pick on a roomie deal for a backup makes sense to me 47 minutes ago, billsfanfrom83 said: Whats the over under on how many games before his dad is b****ing about how he is used here 2-3 Id say 3 tops 1 hour ago, The Wiz said: I like the idea of a 25 yo player more than bringing a player like cooper. I would have liked them to draft a WR in the 4th. But I get the decision and I’m ok with the WR group we have. I think it’s a definite improvement over last years group which still produced at an elite level. 1 Quote
