In fact we only have two receivers over 6’ 1” and that Shavers and the 7th round rookie. This is going to be fun to watch…aim small miss small Josh. Keon Coleman shrunk? 4 2 Quote

I asked earlier in the WR thread and earlier in this thread, how would the Beane critics feel if Coleman, Kincaid, Palmer and Shakir all had 800 yards next season. Would that still be the worst WR group in the NFL? 1 Quote

We were usually 5-7 and still mathematically alive….but the dudes they had to trot out onto the field when the starter got injured were just so bad. So true. One player on this team had that many catches last season, one had that many yards, and none had that many TDs. That would be a brilliant signing if Moore were to post a stat line like that. Quote

(The worst part of the Beane radio interview was the fact that he kind of blamed Josh’s contract………. meanwhile, Josh thinks he did the Bills a favor. That’s a bit of a disconnect and that’s a bit tricky.) He’s right though. If you are going to pay Josh and Shakir and Benford and Bernard and Oliver and Dawkins etc it can limit what else you can add. It’s why the Niners had to trade Deebo Samuel and gut their roster, becuase they have pay the QB. It’s why the Chiefs had to trade Tyreek Hill and lose free agents every year. I didn’t take it as blaming Josh’s contract really. He’s saying you can’t have everything when you are paying a qb the way they are, and he is right. Edited May 1 by MrEpsYtown 3 1 Quote

There's no way Moore is getting more than 80. First he has to make the team. Make the team? Do you just rattle off frivolous , silly comments like that?. On a one year hometown deal with an opportunity to ride the greatness of Josh to a multi year deal somewhere, he’s the vertical threat on the team with experience and great motivation. He’s making the team. To me, he’s a better option than Coleman with more speed and separation. Josh spreads it around( everyone eats mentality) so Shakir will get his but I easily see Moore getting 41/2 to 5 receptions average. 1 Quote

Had Coleman continued to improve after his injury, Hollins role on the field would have been continually reduced. He took on more than his share because Coleman hit a wall. He is a more talented player than Hollins. He will be expected to start living up to his draft position this year. Who will pick up Hollins ST role is a more apt question. It’s a big challenge for the young man but it is now or never. Colemans floor is Hollins career. 8 years of play by Hollins has been quite good at times. 2 Quote
Mister Defense Posted May 1 Posted May 1 A 2nd round pick in the 2021 draft 34th player taken in that draft Has played for one of the most dysfunctional offenses in the NFL since drafted. 4.35 speed, "roadrunner speed" as seen above. Beep, Beep! , as Steve Spagnola tries to stop him... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iWvedIhWjM Nice move, with big upside. Beane is the man, will be the NFL executive of the year this year. 4 Quote

It would be one of the worst groups of wide receivers to ever play in the NFL, historically awful, pathetic, dismal, and they would despise Beane even more. (Yes, that is possible somehow.) And this despite the Bills' offense again being one of the best offenses in the NFL, maybe the best again, even if they break all the Bills' and NFL records they broke last year, and even if Josh wins the NFL MVP again. They will still be outraged, furious. And calling for Beane's head, of course. (And a significant part of their reaction, as predicted above, is sadly not even exaggeration.) Doc Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (edited) 3 hours ago, boyst said: Locks: Coleman Samuel Shakir Palmer Likely: Shenault (can return) Possibly: Moore Virgil Bubble: The rest. Moore is a lock. As for Shenault, I looked it up and Codrington played just 69 snaps on defense last year, only in the regular season, mostly in the final 2 games (and in the 2nd half of both, when the game was out of reach against the Jets and they didn't care against the Patriots). I'd say Shenault offers more at WR and returner than Codrington offers at CB and returner. The only thing is Shenault hasn't returned punts in his career and may have to prove he can also do it.
