One thing is for sure: If you play a game anywhere other than your or your opponent's stadium, it should count as a road game for both teams.  I loathe us 'hosting' a game in London and it counts as a home game on our schedule.

Maybe that atleast make sure it's the 9th home game. Still sucks but would be super messed up to take away an 8th while some teams get Nein (get it? Nein!)

There’s a report going around on the Bills mafia Facebook page that we are playing in primetime on Christmas Day.
So I’m assuming that means a night game, in which case I will watch. I just can’t imagine a bills game at 1 PM on Christmas Day. That’s a game I would not watch, family first.

1 pm on Christmas Day would be fine to me. My problem is that 1 PM EST Christmas Day is 7 AM HST. No Bueno. If we're the primetime game it'll be 2 something my time. I can manage that.

If there is a primetime Christmas Day game, I'm probably going to miss it. We always go to my wife's Godmother's house for dinner. She swore off football when Kapernack started to kneel during the National Anthem.

Yes, we tried talking to her.

For me the game will be on regardless of who is playing. Everyone in my family are football fans. Most of them are Jets fans so they will be rooting against the Bills obviously which should lead to some good trash talking :)

So Miami can't have any home day games in September/early October?

I don't think it'll be that hard and fast of a rule but they definitely won't have divisional games in that slot. Especially with their home vs away sideline nonsense

The NFL absolutely should do something because what happens in Miami isn’t what “home field advantage” is about.  When warm weather teams have to play in cold weather cities in December, the home team isn’t dousing the opponent with more wind, ice, rain, or snow.  The teams are playing in equitable conditions.  Miami specifically redesigned their stadium to put the visitors directly in the blazing sun during the early afternoon.

If the NFL schedules 1 pm games in Miami in September and October it should institute a rule that the visitors can bring in whatever equipment they want (shades, AC units, fans) to deal with the heat.

Sounds like you need a new Christmas dinner tradition.

Your family aren’t Bills fans?  Hell, I’d tell them that’s what I want as my present.

The rumor of a Christmas night game has us rethinking our entire holiday.  I, my wife, my sister, and my brother-in-law are all in our 50s.  No kids to worry about.  My mom will be 86.  Rather than doing “gifts” we are thinking about getting an Airbnb and doing Christmas in Buffalo (I and my mom live in NC, my sister lives in NYC).  Splurge for the heated club seats and make the last (regular season) game at Highmark a special occasion.

I’m actually very excited about it.

For us it will be just me and the wife on Christmas Day. The son and his family will be in Florida with the in-laws, and it will be just the two of us here. I’d be happy for something to take my mind off of the fact that we are just sitting around alone on Christmas Day.  Last year the wife was fighting the urge to go upstairs and work on Christmas afternoon. She’s now retired, and I’d like to be able to enjoy the game with her. She can wear her “I Married Into This” Bills T-shirt.

Just replay SB 25 and see if she notices

I just don’t like it at all. Some things are sacred and should be left alone. Especially holidays that are focused on family connection. And I don’t even like most of my family members lol.
Totally out of my control obviously. If it’s a night game I’ll definitely be excited to watch it.

Your wife’s Godmother? That’s not even a relative! What is wrong with you?

I’ll buy you this as an early Christmas present…

They are making a Hallmark Christmas movie about the Buffalo Bills. They made one about the Chiefs last year and they played on Christmas day. Coincidence?

They made own about the Eagles too. They did not play on Xmas.

Cell phone.

She possibly cannot control what you're going to watch on you're own phone.

Are you encouraging Draco to watch porn on baby Jesus' birthday in front of his inlaws?

I mean, my wife will be right beside me, and maybe, just maybe, I can give her some ideas.

To be honest, she's like family. The aunt my wife never had.

So the last game ever at Highmark will be on Christmas. I would bet it's the Chiefs.

I hope it gets moved to Detroit lol

Chiefs at Bills on Christmas night?

Let KC win  (we finish 14–3 & get 1 seed)

then crush them in the Championship

beating that team twice in a season is near impossible. So we may as well tank the regular season matchup. In fact, let them trample us

Incorrect. Mafia is family

Of course if the Bills have locked up their seed [like 2024] and the week 18 game is at The Ralph, we could be sitting starters for the last game.
