Rookie of the year…

Last Bills player to receive rookie of the year was Kiko Alonso in 2013.  Who’s it gonna be out of our draft class?

 

I’m swinging for the fences and going for Landon Jackson.

The DLs almost always need a year or two to develop.  I'm keeping my expectations in check for those guys this year.

In 2013 the Bills were a bad team so much easier  path for a rookie to look good.   The only player that will even likely see the field enough to have a chance to win award is Hairston

 

Barring injuries the odds are likely higher that Jackson won't even be active the first few weeks of the season than he wins RofY

No one from the Bills on Defense. I will happily settle with Hairston as a starter and Sanders, Jackson as frequent rotation players, and one other guy as a solid bench guy (Strong, Hancock, or Walker).

That's pretty presumptuous to assume any of them are going to win Rookie of the Year - but I like your enthusiasm.

 

The only answer is Maxwell Hairston though. He's the only one who could end up with a starting role. Jackson, Sanders, and Walker won't be getting the kind of reps to win a Rookie of the Year.

🤣 I’m always in, like all of you.  Some absolute awesome posters here that have exceptional insight on the draft….and I’m not one of them.  Just hoping like hell we get an absolute stud that turns the tide for us with the other pieces to win the SB.

Kiko didn’t win the real rookie of the year? I thought he was runner-up to Sheldon Richardson.

Re: Your last paragraph....you might wanna remind yourself we have 2 DL serving suspensions to start the season

 

I'd be shocked if we hit on a DROY.  Hairston, would be my guess if I had to pick someone-  a couple pick 6s and a Treyvon Diggs type rookie year might do it

Hairston would have to have a dominate year with  5+ INTS. I don’t anticipate that happening and everyone is most likely getting 20 ish snaps per game as a rotational player. 
 

DROY won’t be won by a Bill this season.

I doubt most of the guys we drafted will even get a chance to start, so probably none of them. 

 

Maxwell Hairston is the only one that might have a shot (unless he ends up a dud like Elam & gets passed over on the depth chart by one of the other rookie CBs).

If I had to pick 3:

 

OROY

Jeanty - He is my top choice.  
Hunter - If he plays two way and does well at both, he will be hard to beat

Hampton - He has to overtake Najee, but I think he will.

**Honorable mention:  Shadeur Sanders - if he starts, and I think he will start.**

Carter - He is my top choice.

Honestly it's hard when we pick so low every year but I agree Jackson is probably the best one to make a difference.
