Gunner and Gonzo Mock Draft Podcast! (now with a post-draft follow up! p5)

With thanks to the mods for agreeing we could post this here, find a link to a full two round mock podcast just recorded with me @GunnerBill and @gonzo1105!

 

We were trying to get through two rounds in an hour and a half but we talked too much so we overran slightly (it's about 1hr 50) but here it is for your pleasure! 

 

The sounds quality is only okay, but it is good enough to listen to.

I had fun doing this and meeting @GunnerBill and talking college prospects with him and I think the mock is interesting for how it turned out . 
 

Thanks to all the mods and people who listen and feel free to given honest feedback. Maybe if it’s a hit we can turn it into something we do annually

Giving it a listen now. This is the first podcast I've heard in a while that didn't feature a Manscaped ad read so we're off to a good start.

Unfortunately SDS was clear on no commercialisation.... so we had to drop them last minute. Pity. They reckoned TBD members were their target audience.

Great job gents- 

 

I thought the run on corners forced our hand to draft need on CB.  I’d frown irl if we took Hairston over Holland but I see the strategy behind it.  Doesn’t look like Revel, Thomas, Porter or Morrison have much chance to fall to us in rd 2.  
 

I believe trading up in rd 2 is the only way we land combination of Grant/Harmon/Nolen (even Tyliek) + Amos/Revel/Hairston/Thomas/Porter/ Morrison.

that’s what I hope happens-

 

edit:  if we don’t move up,  I think it will probably be CB rd 1 and Collins rd 2 —- or a DT rd 1 then Parrish rd 2 .

 

that said-  we’ll probably draft an edge and an OG or S

Yesterday, I said that if I could choose a poster to run the Bills draft, I'd pick either Gonzo or GunnerBill.  And here they are together!  Listening now - you two sound like old pros.

I fast forwarded to the 3 Bills picks, first off I gotta say if the Bills land these players in the first two rounds I’m going six to midnight in a hurry, I thought your reasoning around those selections was spot on.

 

 I have to admit I was ready to be a turd in the punch bowl, but after listening to you guys, you both sounded knowledgeable, comfortable and had some chemistry and came across with the humility I wasn’t expecting.

 

 Excellent job gentleman.

I'm really enjoying listening to this. It's going to take me a while to get through, as I a) don't have an hour+ chunk of time to devote to a podcast, and b) don't have anywhere near the attention span.

 

And props to SDS for allowing it to be posted. There is no NFL fan forum for any other team that comes close to the quality of this one. That speaks to mods, as well as the posters on this site. We are blessed.

 

I do also agree with @Coach Tuesday. It's disconcerting to hear these voices-- lifts the veil a little bit. Be that as it may: Thanks @GunnerBill, and @gonzo1105!
