The WR position is going to have some growing pains. I think Brady will lean on his TEs. Knox is in his prime and is a tough vet. He was dealing w injuries last year. I think he’s going to be huge in the RZ

Knox has a large contract to be a #2 TE. In addition, there are only so many balls to go around. I don't know if Brady is designing some diabolical two TE sets or whatever. Also, I'm aware that Knox and Allen have a good relationship. I just have a suspicion that something like a trade is going to happen. Am I nuts? The moment we drafted Kincaid, I said "knox on his way out long term" and I got TONS of thumbs down and negative responses from the Brain Trust here. You watch! Knox is one of the worst Ks in the game, it is untradeable, and he is now the highest paid blocking TE in the league. We will cut bait and move on from him the moment we can.

Knox is a valuable player to the Bills for sure. Hoping Brady gets him so more plays this season . Josh so often looked for the kill shot under Dorsey I felt. This year they look to spread the ball around looking for the mismatch. Knox absolutely can be a mismatch. Like Kincaid for a separate reason. Brady has to scheme it and Josh needs to see it Go TEs

While Kincaid may be the better receiver, Knox and Kincaid have different skill sets. Knox is the better blocker, works better in contested space, and can run through contact. I don't think McD or Brady would want to give up what Knox offers. Another consideration is that we don't have a bunch of proven wideouts, so we probably want to keep our two 'proven' TEs. I might suggest that having a year in the NFL , Kincaid is going to get more aggressive looks from Defenses as a sincere pass catcher who is in every check down if not a primary target. This bodes well for Knox who might become an afterthought as same ? I can envision that easily. Brady going to spread the ball around quite obviously by now Knox becomes a weapon again. and gosh , coach his footwork some one ! LOL 7 hours ago, ChronicAndKnuckles said: I doubt it. You mean negotiate his contract dont you ? I disagree otherwise. No reason to consider cutting at this point. Another season to see if McDermotts coaches can tweak his play enough. But yea you might want to let hit FA at that point 👍
SoCal Deek
This isn’t going to be a popular post but I think the Bills have been a bit all over the place with their offensive philosophy. For years they got beat down when Tom Brady had two TEs. Answer….go get two TEs. But now that philosophy seems to be a distraction in their offense and some challenges in pas protection have forced Knox to stay home and help. Add to that the revolving door at Offensive Coordinator and now we have a highly paid TE as the very title of this thread. I don’t have an answer but I’m guessing time and stability at OC will naturally sort it all out.

We have a great TE room, and people sometimes hate that more than love that. It’s not TE 1 and TE2 the way I see it. It’s two different flavors and there are times for each. . harmonkillebrew
They actually play slightly different positions - Knox and Kincaid. Knox plays on the line and Kincaid plays the move TE role. They could actually be co-starters.
T master
Kinkaid may be a better player but Knox is as good in some situations & if Brady utilize his strengths in certain situations he will continue to be a huge asset in Brady's offense .

14774
I'm seeing speculation that Knox may be given the chance to handle kickoff. Theorizing that BUF wants a bruising kicker that can tackle. 🤷♂️

Orlando Buffalo
Kincaid is the primary receiving TE, Knox is the primarily blocking TE. Kincaid will get 800 yards receiving while Knox will get about 500 yards. Getting 1300 yards out of the TE position and good Knox blocking will help the offense immensely, he is overpaid but that is not going to be fixed this year.

No defined 1A says , spread it around , to me. and agreed , get Brady his offseason in with the new players on Offenses and it will settle out At least Bills have lotsa options tp pitch the ball at now
