I'm curious if Tez Walker can rebound. I was really high on him off of the tape and thought he was WR #4. Then his senior bowl was atrocious. Now he's testing off of the charts right now.

I've been wondering how folk would feel about a combo of Mitchell/Legette and then doubling down with Walker later on.

I personally would love it.

I think Walker would be a steal and that would potentially be a nice WR core going forward.

One thing is for certain. The quality of this draft at WR is like night and day from last year. Beane needs to get two quality WRs out of this draft.

Yep I wouldn’t be opposed to taking one in the first and second

leggett and worthy

sign me up

I don't think it will happen, but I'd be tempted to roll the dice if that was possible.

This would be the year to double dip and could right the wrong of the Rousseau/Basham fk up.

You can't ignore the ridiculous quality and quantity of wrs this draft. If it's me, I'm drafting wr at 28 & 60. I'm telling Sean he's going to have to make do with rounds 3, 4, 5 for defense.  Hopefully the 1st round wr replaces Gabe immediately and can transition to WR1.  And the 2nd round guy can assume the WR2 role. Whatever cap $ we have to spend,  use it on defense.

except Worthy is much better WR and displays good toughness for his size.  41 inch vertical too

Sure, I’m not making any comparison about them as prospects. Just hard to shake the feeling that the 40 will get him drafted higher than he should.

Exactly. Use what cap space we create to fill the D with bargain free agents and maybe one high level starter.

I'd consider it as well,  and to add to the point,  the insane cost of veteran WR contracts also factors into that.  If you can get two high level WR prospects out of this draft and have them on rookie contracts for 4-5 years,  with Josh Allen throwing to them,  it would make a lot of sense from a cap perspective to do it.

Franklin

My general feeling of the Combine today is Brian Thomas Jr. solidified his stock, Xavier Worthy, AD Mitchell, and Xavier Legette improved to greatly improved their stock, Troy Franklin and Keon Coleman hurt their stock.

No thank you on Worthy at 28.  I think there is a reason Worthy wouldn’t do the field drills.

What do you think this reason might be? Both my kids went to UT, and my son even played in the Longhorn band. Thus, I have watched every one of their games in recent seasons. And Worthy was not only fast, but won most of the fights with defenders over contested balls. Interestingly, Mel Kiper has him going to ... the Chiefs.

I think he would be an excellent choice.

Keon is just too risky for me. Feels like a boom or Kelvin Benjamin as a Bill type player

Worthy having the fastest 40 time is giving me John Ross flashbacks.

I think if John Ross didn’t get derailed by injuries he could have had a reasonable career.
