I don’t know that this changes anything for me, on Vivek…It’s a level headed take that, even though Trump fans may not want to hear it, is neither condescending to Trump, or out of bounds, in general…

It certainly is a strong take, while still as respectful as possible…I think that is what I like about Vivek…He is bold when he speaks his mind, but unlike Trump he isn’t so polarizing with the words he uses…

And if anyone is gonna have a shot at defeating the Woke agenda, people from the other side are gonna have to be brought on board…And I’ve already heard several Democrats says that, if Vivek wins the nomination, they would vote for him…👍

I think Vivek had a shot to do that...but some of his stances are not going to be popular with the independents and Democrats, like raising the voting age or creating a mandatory test or civic duty to have the right to vote before the age of 25.

I do think he has a much better shot at winning some of the other side than DeSantis though.

While I don't agree a lot with DeSantis...I understand the philosophy that most of his fans have that this should purely be about policy. But that's just not the reality we're in. Trump has much more charisma and when it's head to head he's going to make fun of DeSantis, he's going to outwit him, he's going to be funnier, and he's going to be the bigger celebrity. And many more of these other candidates and Republicans are going to bend the knee to Trump than they will for Desantis. As much as people want to say this stuff shouldn't matter...it does.

I still think Trump wins the GOP easy.

Perhaps the truth of the matter is you just don’t want it to be that way because it presents a gray area, where your side’s narrative requires “black and white” issues to make it easier to demonize people…

#micdrop 😉

Demonize people? Do you ever think?

Does Lock Her Up sound familiar?

And ask yourself - why is V flipping so drastically after what he wrote in his book?

Does he maybe want to be someone’s VP?

You can micdrop all you want but you’ll never be able to shake how gullible you are.

Gotta appeal to low iq MAGA nutters who equate conspiracy with fact, right @All_Pro_Bills?

Do you think the government has told us the truth and everything about everything on 911?

Before you answer, recall that George W Bush was our President with a Republican House and 50/50 Senate at the time.  Surely he wouldn't lie would he?

I don’t see it as flipping, but rather, nuanced, just like @HomeskillitMoorman said…

You can be against how Trump handled the post election, while still thinking the deep state has been trying to take him down…

Same with 9/11…you can think the government is not being 100% honest about that day without thinking it was an inside job…

It’s not “you’re either for Trump or against Trump”…No, some things you agree on, some you disagree…And there is also going to be overlap with other people on the issues as well…

It’s not really difficult to understand, unless you live in a “black and white” worldview…👍

Vivek has changed so many of his views just in the past 12 months its hard to keep track.

I can't think of a more phony chameleon candidate in quite a while than Vivek.

There are innumerous examples.

Here is Vivek switching his position from just 7 weeks ago regarding Juneteenth.

Vivek wrote a book 10 months ago.   Here he is agreeing with Mike Pence for not going along with Trump's scheme to attempt to change the outcome of the election.  Btw, Pence was correct so his position in the book is just fine, but if you were to ask that question today, he has a completely different view of it now.

Here is Vivek sayin that J6 "was a dark day for Democracy".  He says the opposite today

Here he is defending an article from National Review for Liz Cheney and her right to go after Trump over J6.   Ask him this question today, what do you think he would say?

This is just on J6 - There are tons more on his previously held views on masking, vaccines, his shady Pharmaceutical company and it goes on and on and on

Too subtle Billsy.  you need to be more direct.

I'd vote for ramakrisna before any of the other R's.  Asian Indians have long honored the caste system😜  Brahmins will be sacred cows....

Vivek is running an amazing campaign to be Trump's vice president. He's parroting Trump's stances on everything, bleeding support away from DeSantis...

I agree, barring Trump actually being in jail he’s going to win the GOP

These other guys are too busy, trying not to step on trumps toes to actually offer an alternative

True- democrats as a party  are way too racist against high achieving Asians to ever allow this guy to be elected…. 😎

That's hilarious!  Indian food is probably 2nd to Italian for me.

And i've had many Indian friends in medicine and chemistry.  Several came to my wedding.

but this guy is a bigger player than trump.  Changes his opinions to suit your mood....

Vivek's previously held views on masks.

This was in July of 2020, when there was already plenty of available data that masks were not making any sort of a real impact.  Here he is siding with Sanders for a national "Masks for all" plan.

Here is Vivek deriding conservatives for opposing wearing masks.

Here he is in 2022 still pushing masks and social distancing.

The point is this, it's ok to have your positions to naturally evolve (even though there was plenty of evidence at the time to make a different determination), the issue is that there were a some people on the right that were fighting the fight in real time and taking heat for having at that time unpopular positions in the public who eventually were proven right.    When the fight mattered, Vivek was on the side of mainstream thought.

For me, that's an automatic disqualifier because it shows you who they are when the time counts.
