I knew there was more to him - if I only couldn’t possibly care less about any nominee not named DeSantis I’d have taken more then 20 seconds to look into him. I do not blame anyone for being impressed with him tho. He absolutely is. Very bright guy. Definitely conservative. But not sure what else. Maybe Trump has him there to peel off DeSantis votes. It’s not so much that his take is controversial to ME - it isn’t - but saying “dark day for democracy” and then to rail against the indictment (very well btw) just…..I don’t know how this doesn't reveal potentially more contradictory positions he may have as a very very very unknown (albeit impressive) individual. We did the outsider in 2016. He didn’t know how to run the bureaucracy he let it run him and he was surrounded by people that also didn’t know anything about DC. We need the executive that has gotten it done and who we know holds literally every position MAGA supports. There is no other Trump. Don't try and be like him…respond like him….more importantly expect the kind of electricity only Trump can bring. Just because you can’t doesn’t mean that’s a problem. It isn’t. He needs to be completely and totally professional and continue to pound the message “I got ***t done.” Trump’s base will only double down when he’s attacked….so don’t even talk about him. It’s the Youngkin formula. I want DeSantis to actually try less at convincing Trumpers to vote for him. He needs to make it all about Biden and campaign like he’s already the nominee. On the debate stage - if Trump is not there he absolutely cannot talk about Trump. Defend him and talk about why this country is under threat…. AND REPEAT THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE: “IN FLORIDA I’M CONSTANTLY BEATING THAT THREAT AND I’M GOING TO DO IT IN DC STARTING BY PARDONING TRUMP AND EVERY J6ER.” We’re still 6 months away.
