Hey, the Mike Mc Daniel amongst other first timers have worked out thus far for some.

He will be the first, first year OC to win a superbowl

McNerd got the Fish to the same record as Flores after adding Tyreek Hill to the roster.  I don’t think we can say he has “worked out” for Miami just yet.

It’s not just the football mind, teams want some of the Bills culture in their buildings. They want the next Daboll.

If you look at results of Brian Daboll and Coach McDermott what future team woudn't want that success right?

The margin for error is so thin at the level that the NFL plays in ANY proven advantage to gain Wins will be mimicked. If a positive culture does the job so be it.

Brian Daboll OC for Josh Allen. Interest from other teams CHECK.

Dorsey  could very well be next in line to exit.  We'll see.

I wonder how charitable all the McDaniel fans on this board would be to a rookie Bills HC who lost 5 straight games down the stretch.

He's the most overrated twit I've seen since Josh McDaniels and Lane Kiffin. So arrogant for accomplishing nothing.

Ironic as well in that I seem to recall there were times a large portion of the fanbase was willing to escort Daboll to the county line to search for a 'better opportunity'. 😁

Daboll had a long career, building capabilities and getting experience, and learning from a lot of successful coaches.  He held the Giants together when injuries and tough opponents derailed their happy days early success.  He deserves NFC COY in my opinion.

Dorsey had one year as QB coach and one year as OC.  He might like the compliment of being asked to interview, but a man's got to recognize his own limitations (thanks Clint).  He's just not ready.  Becoming HC on a team without a QB would be a disaster for the team and his own career.

It’s his first year on the job and the way I see it he’ll only get better. If a coordinator has to go, I choose Frazier. Those extra 3rd round draft picks are needed.

Frazier has certainly earned another shot at being a HC. From a selfish standpoint, I don't want to lose him. With that being said, there isn't a third-round pick that comes close in value compared to having Frazier as our DC.

Depends what the Josh - Joe relationship is like. Purely from the interactions (or lack thereof sometimes) we have seen on TV this year I dunno I am a little sceptical about that relationship. I might be totally off because we only see the odd snapshot that the tv shows. Maybe guys who go to the games will tell me he and Josh are always talking, looking at the ipads together etc on the sideline... but there have been multiple camera shots where Josh is sitting on the bench looking at the ipad and Brady is stood next to him just staring straight ahead.

If Josh and Joe are tight and Josh wants him then he is the next guy should Dorsey get hired. If not, then I wonder if this is the juncture at which they might go outside. No obvious internal candidate that your QB is lobbying for, having had some growing pains moments this year with a first time playcaller (I maintain overall Dorsey has done a decent job) Superbowl chasing team... maybe they think an experienced playcaller might be the way to go. Especially if someone like Frank Reich is interested.

What they have to get used to is when you have Josh Allen your OCs are gonna get HC looks. Especially when you have highly respected guys like Daboll who had worked with Bill and Nick and then Dorsey who played QB in the league.... Joe Brady or Frank Reich (the hotshot youngster, or the respected older former HC) would both be the same. If Dorsey left and either of them got the job and the Bills had another top 3 offense next year either of those guys would be on HC search lists.

Can't forget they have Mike Shula too, the elder statesman.

Dorsey may not even be interested. Everyone thought Daboll was gone last season and he wasn't.

He would have been gone for the 2021 season if he'd had an offer.  The Bills' incredible offense at the end of last year was his ticket to being a HC.  Sticking around that year turned out to make him even more sought-after, and it should have led to a Bills SB win.

While I agree Frazier has earned consideration for another HC job, I think people look at his unimpressive stint as a HC previously, and his more restrained personality than any of the younger coaches have.  He always appears dour, and quiet, on the sidelines.  I never see him riled up by a bad play or excited about a good play -- and that's exactly what you want in a DC.  But as a HC, he might not have the inspiring personality to charge up a team.

Early this season, I saw a clip with Daboll and his team laughing and cheering while Daboll sang along with some rap song they all knew.  And Daboll knew it too.  He related great to the 20-somethings on his team.  Would Frazier?

I think Frazier's currently in the job and the situation he was born to be in.  I hope he stays for another decade.

Sadly no one wants Frazier as their HC,  him leaving would be a multi beneficial action for the Bills.

Now Dorsey if made the offer would very likely leave, maybe that could be a good thing?  We have that Brady guy in line to replace him I guess, is he actually any good?  What’s his upside as a potential OC?

This is pretty much how it works. Doesn’t Dorsey have a history with Carolina as well ? Maybe they really like the guy and he’s familiar to them.

Dorsey was QBC here for 3 years and Carolina for 4 IIRC.
