3 weeks in a row we are running Singletary and scoring.  2nd half we stop running and we throw and throw and turn the ball over.  Not saying Singletary is the answer, run Cook I don't care but stop throwing the ball 90 percent of the time.  Especially with a lead.  We don't know how to close out games or get short yardage at key times because we just don't run the ball enough to be any good at it.

^This.

A three score lead at home in the second half.  You gotta run a little bit and you have to put the game away.

The game turned for the offense in the second half, 2nd and 2 at the 12 (red zone). We passed three straight times.  The FG was there and those points were needed even though it remains a 3 score game.  The fourth down pass was an interception in the end zone.

Fast forward to OT.  1st and 10 at the 20 (red zone).  Great time to run 26 who had 2 TDs and ran well in the first half and force the defense to think about the run.  Three passes to the end zone, interception.

We are abymsal in close games this year.

Elite coach, Reid? WTF, you know he was a head coach that lost playoff games for over 10 years until Mahommes got there, right?

Reid was lambasted worse than McD for his mind numbing calls for years and years and years with the Eagles and even the Chiefs for many years

McDermott needs to work on the mentality of Josh & the entire team.  Josh needs to quit trying to take the whole team on his shoulders. He always takes the blame for any loss & passes credit to others on wins.  You can do that publicly at press conferences to be a good teammate and leader, but you can’t do that to yourself internally.  When you start getting down on yourself it can snowball on you. I agree Dorsey needs to have a calming, encouraging effect on Josh.

Objectively, Josh wasn’t the only one to make bad plays. We had 2 key drops late 4th quarter by Diggs & in OT by Knox.  Our defense gave up a 27-10 lead. We gave up several key 4th down plays. Winning & losing is a team thing.

We need a whole team reset this week. It’s not too late to save the season.

First half, he was looking for that. Second half, he went back to the same crap he’s been doing the past few weeks. He needs to settle down and take what’s there. He’s regressed in 2.5 weeks.

My God, Singletary might have scored himself. Incredibly bad judgement - rookie early season bad.

All week you are going to hear people saying it’s an out of conference loss, still early, no big deal, nobody will even listen to anything doom and gloom …this team is in big trouble. We might have our hands full making the playoffs at this point. Regardless of what anyone thinks about seeding, if this team goes to KC in the playoffs we’re done. It’s not the same to win there in the playoffs. They are an excellent team, the crowd and officiating will be a factor. These last 2 weeks are inexcusable. You blew a 2 score AND a 3 score lead to lesser teams in back to back weeks. This team as currently constructed is going nowhere. The defense can’t get off the field in a big spot, we can’t put teams away and we can’t run the ball. This style of play is not sustainable and if Josh doesn’t start protecting the ball, we are done.

It's the drizzling schnittz again this week. It's one thing to lose but jeebus they gotta go and lose in one of the weirdest, most contrived ways ever.

Again, self inflicted bull poopery plus injuries equals bad times.

I think you pay Tremaine Edmunds. He does so much under the radar that goes unappreciated. It was a different game without him. I know the big time flash plays aren't always there but he does a lot of good stuff and I think he's worth hanging onto.

The worst part of a loss are the weeks worth of awful hot takes. Blech.

I think they'll be alright. They seem to end up on the wrong end of a flukey game more often than not, unfortunately. 2020 Arizona game comes to mind. They aren't getting blown out, just too many mistakes and injuries on defense. Story of the season so far.

Go beat up stoopid Cleebland. Frickin' turds.

I took it easy on coaching in the game day thread. It’s not their fault Allen fumbled in his own end zone. Allen needs to do better overall. With that said, this team goes into prolonged funks every season. You can’t secure home field, or be the best that way. That’s on coaching imo

All they had to do was put Josh in long snap & let him throw it away---worst case scenario is a safety. time to fire this OC.

I think Dorsey and Allen are wired very similarly and would each run through a wall to pick up a 1st down up 20-0 in week one because they are ultra competitive.

Daboll has a handful of super bowl and national championship rings and knows the long game. He was a calming influence on Allen

That's a strong possibility.  Leslie and Sean don't seem to help much in the big game, big time moments either.  I'm still not willing to be against Dorsey yet.  1st year, and I'm sure almost ALL OC's are telling their QB's "if it's not there, throw it away".  Him and Josh still have a lot of learning moments ahead of them.
