This is a tip of the hat to many similar threads where the TBD crime lab has dissected videos, contemplated charges, and traveled around in a van solving mysteries.

Well that's completely understandable.  I can't tell you how many times I was just an unwitting passenger in a car that was committing a drive by shooting, to my surprise.  Coulda happened to anyone really...

I don't see how he doesn't catch a suspension or a lengthy sit on Goodell's Exempt list.  I will save the legal analysis for TBD's Law & Order fan club.

So he hasn't talked to the police yet but he's told the media he was in the car with the shooter. What is he giving the shooter a head start before he names him?

I don't think he'll do it, but Jerry should cut him. 2nd rd pick be damned. You have so much going for you, yet still hang with thugs/punks. They bring you back down to their level. Well, maybe he's still at that level.

Do not draft a rapper.

And we would have gotten away with it, if it hadn't been for those meddling mods.

Thankfully he was kind enough to wear his chain with the letters "YKDV". Probably helped narrow the group down a bit.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/04/14/report-kelvin-joseph-a-person-of-interest-in-dallas-murder-investigation/

Per this report he admitted to being at the scene to the Cowboys, but was not involved in the shooting. In any event if one of his group did the shooting and he said nothing .. I am no lawyer, but I believe that makes him an accessory after the fact.

I am wondering about this. A person has no obligation to speak to the police. Most criminal lawyers would tell you to shut up, and the police are not your friend. Maybe I am wrong, but I do not think there mere fact that he didn't tell anyone after the shooting occurred makes him an accessory after the fact, without doing something else to hinder the investigation or aid the perpetrator. This is what I found from Cornell:

https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/accessory_after_the_fact#:~:text=An accessory-after-the-,person avoid arrest or punishment.

"Accessory After The Fact | Wex | US Law | LII / Legal Information Institute (cornell.edu)

An accessory-after-the-fact is someone who assists 1) someone who has committed a crime, 2) after the person has committed the crime, 3) with knowledge that the person committed the crime, and 4) with the intent to help the person avoid arrest or punishment."

But maybe, as you said, he was somehow involved in the planning beforehand. That's a whole different story, potentially making just as guilty as the shooter.
