Woeful offense?  Didn’t we lead the league in points?  Aren’t we in the top six in yards both passing and running?

You want to worry about things out of your control?  Worry about punting and catching punts.

Three words...Six to Nine!

There was a point in this season in which it was noted that McD was talking about his OC the very same way he talked about Rick Dennison in the 2017 season.

The Bills lost to the Jags 6-9, were blown out by the Colts 15-41 and lost to the Patriots at home in a windstorm to an offense that only threw 3 passes, 10-14!

Mostly because this OC kept getting caught up in throwing the ball all game... instead of what it will take to exploit the team/defense he is facing.

Keep passing and when that doesn't work...keep passing.

It's also been noted that this OC has finally started using the RBs in the run game more and it's been somewhat successful. Suddenly, we Bills fans are no longer claiming we need a better O line, need a better lead RB. If this were happening all season... then this thread would have no merit.

Look at this recent Jets game!

The Buffalo offense was stumbling big time for a lot of that game and this was against a 4-12 team with the 32nd ranked defense, 30th in passing yards allowed. WTH!

At times this OC doesn't see what's working and what isn't working. WR Gabe Davis against the Jets, 14 targets, 3 receptions for 39 yards.

Yes, the Bills finally scored 14 points in the 4th quarter to put some distance to win 27-10. This was a very close game for quite a awhile and it took a historically dominant defensive game play to keep the Bills in this game.

Buffalo Bills defense, NINE sacks on the Jets rookie QB Wilson, who went 7 of 20 for 87 yards all game. The Jets run game went 17 rushes for 48 yards.

Because of those 9 Buffalo sacks the Jets only had 5 net passing yards all game!  53 total yards of offense by the Jets!

Bills fans should be worried about this OC and if he has the proper game plan to beat the Patriots.

Ya know what is funny / odd? You don't hear much about Brian Daboll's name being bandied about as a new HC hire when so many teams are looking. Just think, GB OC Nathanial Hackett is generating more interest...

Usually what happens to good teams

Yup.  Doesn’t make it any better for us.  One more reason why we have to get it done this year.  We know what we have in our coaches and they seem to be “good enough” to win a SB imo.  The replacements may not be.  Coordinator hires are extreeeeeeemely important

My worry is much more about Josh Allen in that we need him to be his best EVERY GAME HERE ON OUT.

If Josh has a "really good game" let's say, we should beat everyone we play.

If/when Josh has a letdown game, we'll be out.

We will go as far as he can take us.

Let's hope he strings together one of his best stretches of his career, starting Saturday.

Not only did we throw a bomb into the end zone on 3rd and short, we had deep go routes on both sides of the field. It was troubling to see that much commitment to a low percentage play on third and short.

But… it was the Jets.

For the most part, I was satisfied with the play-calling, and the play-calling from the previous week vs. the Falcons, as well. In fact, it could be argued that play-calling saved the Falcons game.

Unfortunately, this team will live and die with Dabolls decisions.

No they will love and die with their execution of the plays.

Execution is far far far more important than play calls most of the time.

With one of the more potent NFL offense, and arguably best QB in the league… if that’s the case you shouldn’t be worried about turning the ball over on downs and letting your defense shut them down. Just my opinion, but I would’ve loved to see some aggressiveness there.

There is a time and place to take risks and there was no need to.

Risk-reward wasn't great there to be honest.

I'm worried and very concerned right now about a lot of things and it would be so Billsy for this team to exit the playoffs early with a top defense not being able to compensate for a woeful offense which just one year again it was the exact opposite.

Just hope this entire coaching staff understands that any chance we have of making a serious run is an aggressive gameplan that doesn't involve wasting carries on Zack Moss and other gimmicky gadget crap that can lead to turnovers and big loss of yardage.

Let Allen be who he was against the Pats a few weeks ago and feed singletary exclusively.

Moss did well yesterday. He is a strong back.

There is a certain  point during a game when teams will abandon the run game, and start passing like mad. Over the last few seasons, I have felt like the Bills (given their talent at QB, and lack thereof in the run game) have gone into that mode too early. It has smacked of desperation, looked like panic, and stymied momentum.

But I kinda feel like Daboll has gotten over that in the latter part of this season. As other teams have figured out our spread offense, there has been an assumption on the part of opposing defenses that Allen, if playing from behind in the fourth, or even late third, would start slinging it like a drunken Ryan Fitzpatrick on speed.

But that hasn’t been the case. Opposing defenses have, in the last half of the season overplayed their hands when they thought they might have Allen close to the ropes. And when they have, Motor has burned them.

if I have any reservations this season, in regards to play calling, it is that it seems to be an endless work-in-progress. But as long as we’re moving in the right direction, that is a mild criticism.

He also punted on 4th and 1 after acting like he was going to go for it and then wasted a TO when the play clock got down to one instead of just taking the 5 yard penalty and then punt…. His aggressiveness was awesome against the Patriots… but I feel he’ll go back to his conservative roots when the game isn’t going their way…. And Hyde sucked back there.

The Hyde thing reeks of 2017 and 2018 McDermott.

No chance of any return, coaching safe and scared of the Jets.

I have no idea why they do that on 4th and 1, and you’re right, you then burn a timeout on top of it to save 5-yards of field position.

That’s Dick Jauron stuff there, hoping other team makes mistakes.

Belichik obviously knows Daboll well from their time together in NE.

Obviously the gameplan was excellent a few weeks ago but it took probably Allen's best game of his career to pull that out and overcome the late surge from Mac Jones and the Pats offense. The chances of Allen having that type of game again are the same as the Pats winning with their QB only throwing 3 passes like the first match.

Either way I've always hate division game matchups in the playoffs because you can throw out the regular season and there have been many instances of teams getting swept by a division rival in the regular season only to win the 3rd matchup in the playoffs (TB/Brady were the last to do it against the Saints in the playoffs last year).

Don't overthink it. We have the better QB by a mile. That's what usually wins in the playoffs.

It’s hard for me to be satisfied when you see the Bills against the Patriots @ New England, and their first drives were masterful, short crisp throws, power runs, Allen designed runs, or the first Jets game, McKenzie involved, Gabe involved, and then to see the same old pattern this past Sunday, running on first down in the Red Zone, trying to draw people Offside, Allen throwing nothing but toe tap routes to the sidelines, no McKenzie, no Knox.
