What work for me was saying cancel and telling agent I was cancelling and the agent started the cancel process and assured me that she needed to transfer me to another group after labeled account cancel. I inquired with customer service, the lady said it’s a loyalty incentive for select customers. I called AT&T this morning to have NHL Center Ice removed from my account (there’s really no point in paying to watch the Sabres) and the rep did that, and then informed me (without me asking) that I’m receiving Sunday Ticket free this year as consideration for my loyalty as a DTV customer. I had a similar experience on a chat yesterday with a DTV rep...however, I won't believe it until I see it on my account, which it hasn't shown up on yet. I'll give it a couple of days. Being gifted a free year of Sunday Ticket without even asking does not sound like something that would ever happen in reality. . She checked and came back with the news that it's $0 for me this year, though I don't think it includes Max, just regular Sunday ticket. I was skeptical until I saw this thread. A bonus is there are no commitments/contracts tied to it. Whether the freebie will impact other promotional negotiation remains to be seen.
