DeSantis For President in 2024?

So, you participate in these recurring drills and go to school every day worrying some nut job might shoot up the school?

I participate in the drills because it is required but I don't worry about some nut job because in my county if a kid threatens to shoot a school the child is removed from school and attended to regardless of race. Marjory Stoneman only happened after Cruz had openly threatened the school, brought a weapon to school, and was sent to another county without informing the county of the real reason. Liberals don't think minorities can be crazy but I know that all races have their crazy people.

That's not the argument Tim.

Some issues were fads, some were unreasonable, some unsafe, and some didn’t work into the big picture of who they ultimately became.

I have nothing but sympathy for a child/family going through all that, but Biden’s talking point here is borderline nuts.

Politico: Trump prepares an extensive opposition file on ‘Ron DeSanctimonious’

So Trump is preparing to hit DeSantis as soft on child porn, among other things.

His point is to show DeSantis is Jeb Bush with a thin veneer of MAGA paint, while totally not gaslighting that DeSantis is soft on child grooming.

I can't wait for this to play out.

Meh. It's the sort of pragamtism based hypocrisy I've come to expect from an elected official.  DeSantis was for arming Ukraine back in 2014 so he could beat Obama over the head as a weak appeaser.

Now he's against it in 2023 because GOP primary voters are increasingly against it and he needs to drive wedges into Trump's base.

There's no deep thinking here. Just short term politics driving short term strategy. This is the heart of why we lose.

There a large gap between "arming" and sending hundreds of billions to a country.

Florida is full of sniveling pathetic snowflakes who need a safe space for everything because they can’t handle discussing how Rosa Parks was asked to give up her seat to a white dude.

Snowflakes. Facts don’t care about your feelings.

What a mess

https://www.semafor.com/article/03/17/2023/the-2024-right-wing-influencer-primary-heats-up

"The most-cited influencer, by far: Jack Posobiec, who progressives mostly associate with the 2016 Pizzagate conspiracy theory, and Republicans identify as a powerful, narrative-shaping voice. He has more than 2 million followers on Twitter, nearly six times as manyas National Review, and more than 1 million on Truth Social. Two operatives made the very same prediction, that Posobiec will matter as much to future GOP voters as Washington Post columnist George Will did to Republicans a generation ago.

“I'm Trump all the way,” Posobiec told Semafor. “I think he's gonna win. I don't think the primary’s honestly going to be that tough of a contest.”

“I think any pressure is coming from the Trump side,” Cardillo told Semafor. “They've pretty much made it known that if you don't pledge absolute fealty, you're going to be personally viciously attacked.”

They’re going to make Trump a martyr this week because New York, once again, is a joke of a state.

Once indicted, he’s going to gain support and the base 30% of the country that loves him will become absolutely rabid.

I want DeSantis to be the nominee, but I’m not sure he stands a chance after Bragg pulls this bs.

I am serious when I say this, as a reminder that most "journalist" suck at their job they should always disclose the most absurd thing that they pushed. I had forgotten Posibiec had promoted Pizzagate and that reminder is a good one. Every time Dan Rather speaks they should mention the 2004 election, everytime Alex Jones speaks they should mention Sandy Hook, everytime Can Jones speaks they should mention 911 was an inside job.

desantis polls way better with moderates.  It's almost like the goal is to hurt desantis and martyr trump.  Hoping they can get 81 million votes again

And Florida banning surgeries, hgh and hormone therapy to kids was well received.  Hopefully we see more

No, they're going to apply equal justice and follow the law.  People who break the law should be prosecuted in NY, DC and Georgia.  Those are coming...stay tuned.  Georgia's gonna be big.  Reportedly they have another recorded phone conversation.  As if the first one isn't enough.

You aren’t thinking clearly enough … You really don’t want this for our country.

These past few years have started in motion precedents that will forever change this nation.

You think people view their fellow Americans as enemies now?… just wait.

Read my posts.  CLEARLY I don’t want that.

You know who does?  Establishment media, grifters like the Lincoln Project and self-aggrandizing trash like Alvin Bragg.

Trump gets indicted and plays the victim card throughout the campaign cycle … good or bad for his Presidential prospects?

I think his prez prospects are minuscule regardless.  The country has irreconcilable differences.  This may amplify them but they're not going away.  They'll be winners and losers.  Just like in every election.  And those that choose to be martyrs for trump will suffer the same fate as the insurrectionists.  The vast majority of the country wants law and order.  Certainly the powerful money people do.

We’ll never agree on this.  J6 politicization, like the Covid overreaction, is something that looks worse and worse when seen under the light.

“they’ll suffer the same fate as the insurrectionists”

What a disgusting thing to say.  Maybe you are my enemy .. I certainly want nothing to do with anyone that thinks like you.

Jan 6 was disgusting.  pointing that out is not.  And you seem to be in the minority:

https://www.brookings.edu/blog/fixgov/2023/01/06/polls-show-americans-are-divided-on-the-significance-of-january-6/

"In July, the NPR/PBS/Marist survey posed the question differently but got similar results. Presented with three different assessments of January 6, 50% of respondents said that it was an insurrection that threatened democracy, 19% regarded it as constitutionally protected political protest, and 25% deemed it unfortunate but believed that it was time to move on."

not sure what move on means but I doubt it means "free the insurrectionists" to most answering that way.

Jan 6th was only a threat to democracy if you now  believe that Hunter laptop is fake, still think Russian collusion happened, or you ever believed that Covid being a lab leak was a conspiracy theory. Just curious if any of these three apply to you?

Very misleading headline- only a few books are needed to be removed. Literally 10+ thousand books are pre-approved for each level. Many books are being moved from elementary to high school, third graders should not have Lord of the Flies in their library. But liberals must maintain the victim mentality.

Sure.  Because the first is dependent on all the others?

The Lord of the Flies characters are little kids!  It's about competition, survival and human nature.  Pretty sure I read it in grammar school and found it fascinating.  Great Book, a classic for a reason.  I don't think reading it then hurt me in any way.  I wrote a book report on "The exorcist " in grammar school.  Nuns were shocked but I got a good grade.  I did have nightmares after that.  I can see limiting that to high schools.

They are not dependent on each other beyond at this point except that only the most gullible will fall for such clear lies at this point, or the lab leak at any point.

No.

The correct answer is silence.

Or if he really wanted to rile people up, stating that Florida does not allow political persecution of its subjects and he will order every law enforcement agency in Florida to refuse extradition if a warrant is served.

He’s letting himself be managed too much. He gives off the smell of a guy who tries desperately to play both sides via the thoughts of campaign consultants.

Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio can teach him how to lose primaries that way if he’s so interested.
