NFL Practice Squad Tracker

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure why no one has started this.  I was curious and found this.

Lots of players signing, so far Bills with none.

https://nfltraderumors.co/nfl-practice-squad/

I will try to edit the updates from the above link.

So far the Bills have signed:

1.  DE Brian Cox Jr.

2.  WR Jake Kumerow

3.  WR Duke Williams

4.  CB Cam Lewis (reported but not in link yet)

5.  RB Antonio Williams (reported but not in link yet)

6.  QB Davis Webb (reported but not in link yet)

7.  DL Chris Slayton

8.  DE Mike Love (reported but not in link yet)

9.  OT Brandon Walton

10.  DT Justin Zimmer

11.  S Josh Thomas

As you can see below that Kumerow and Slayton are not on the list.  There is talk that they will be after Covid clearance.

Personally I like what I see so far.  I'm sure there will constantly be tweeking by Beane of this.

I’ll tell you what it means.  The Bills have seen enough, and these guys weren’t good enough to be one of seven WRs the Bills will have on their opening day roster (once Roberts is re-signed).

🎶 So long, it's been good to know ya!🎵

EDIT:  Guddammit, looks like Duke is staying.  Prepare for an onslaught from Sky Diver, Joe Namath, and various Alabama alumni.  😳

I'll try to keep the Bills additions here:
There's the fan favorite

Not sure why Duke Williams got such a bad rap from many posters on this board but I think he has demonstrated that he belongs in the NFL.   Not sure how he’ll get that many more opportunities With the Bills but I do think believe he is NFL caliber.

Just think have so many good WR on the team. No doubt Duke possibly 3 starter on some teams but 4-5 on lots of teams.

I read somewhere on this board that beyond their top two, the Pack's receiving group was terrible. Hmmm?

It comes full circle as he will learn from Brady, but not the way a lot of people thought.

Does Kumerow play special teams?

My understanding is that he excelled on special teams and as a blocker, but also had some clutch catches over the last couple of years and was a favorite of Aaron Rodgers. Good guy to have around imo.

There were a few who thought Foster would get picked up by Green Bay. Kudos to them.

I like our 'swap' though, as Kumerow gives us height, if he makes it to the roster at any point. With Diggs and Brown, we have speed, the extra variation could be handy down the stretch, or in the future.

While people generally have been dismissive overall of GBs WRs, if Rodgers liked him, there's got to be something there to work with.

Brady isn't the mentor type. He gets threatened by backup QB's and I bet he completely ignores practice squad guys unless to yell at them if they do something stupid.
