Why do poor rural whites vote for the corporate GOP?

If I had to guess perhaps those rural white voters believe they themselves will be better and will bet on themselves.

See that’s the difference between the ideologies, self reliance vs government reliance, and there is a party that just wants you to rely on the government, they know what is best for you.

Let’s take an example, it seems like you have been voting democrat for sometime, if democrats policies are so great.....................why are you still washing my sheets?

So you do not live in the world of reality. That explains why you don't understand the real world.

To protect their freedom of course.  They rightly believe that it is not the government's job to solve all their problems.

Oh no. That’s not it.  It’s because they cling to their guns and religion. See I know this because Obama told me so.

I do not have a problem with them not wanting any help and dying soon. But that other people can't get services because of their racist beliefs is wrong.

I understand the real world perfectly.
You seem confused, for example, you think voting is a service or a convenience, when in fact it is a right.
A person EXERCISES their right.

So, people who want the government to leave them alone and not give them anything are naturally racist and somehow are depriving the moochers from their mooch?

Why are Republicans losing the Suburban vote? And the women's vote?

Are they?  Or is this like 2016 where the polling is wrong, because people are afraid to admit who they're voting for?

I'll never understand people who want the government to control every aspect of their life, health care, education, finance etc. I;m guessing they just don't like freedom or thinking for themselves

...you know the drill.....if someone else takes care of your every need with no worries at others' expense, you do NOT bite the hand that feeds you.....you become acclimated to THAT comfort zone without feeling a need to do better for yourself......we know that more will follow to add to that zone anyhow.......hence the attractiveness of today's socialism.....the "Robinhood Mentality"...........

It blows my mind, I want to take these people and slap them upside their head and tell them, the bigger the government, the less freedom you have, and if that's what they want, there's a bunch of countries they can go and have the government control their lives, in fact, there's a little island just 90 miles away that would be perfect for them

We will see about that suburban group, somehow I don’t see what’s been going on lately in democrat run cities as a shining endorsement to the Democratic Party. As for the women’s vote, you have Trump VS Biden, flip a coin on that one.

Actually, it'll be Trump vs. Harris/ Bass or Warren, if, by some miracle Biden wins, he'll be out within 6 months

Does anyone remember or even know about the change in Orange County, CA in the 2018 elections where the county & surrounding areas went from red to blue in a miraculous manner? Seems like ballot harvesting, a scheme invented by democrats was a key to making that happen.

Why is everything a conspiracy ? Oh I forgot because 45% of the people elected the conspiracy king to lead out country.  Hu the way why did he disband his election fraud commission that was gonna to find that widespread voter fraud that caused Hilary to win the popular vote ?? Because they found little irregularity and ones they do find actually favored GOP candidates. That’s why. How come you didn’t bring up the Georgia governor elections where non mail in polling was rigged by the then Secretary of State for the candidate for governor to just narrowly win. By the way the guy doing the rigging was also the candidate and is the now the governor and he is still trying to rig that whole state.

I have voted mail in in the last 7 elections, so it is hardly a new concept. 34 stayed already allow for it. 15 others already allow for it under unique circumstance of which COVID is one. Funny but the MAGA folks always wuiye the constitution and rule of law unless it doesn’t favor their outcome like here.....

By the way, rigging machines is easier than rigging paper ballots because the machine paper trail just comes from the data in the machine. Change the data and if changed the paper trail.

HBO had a pretty interesting documentary showing just how easily hacked our systems are. For instance in that Georgia election, one very populated precinct has 75% registered dems be 5% GOP. At the end of the day the law says each machine had to put the computer tally from each machine on its windows as a sort or public display of the honesty of the election. That precinct had 12 machines. 1 machine had registered 85% of the people vote straight GOP on it. In a precinct with 75% registered dems to have one machine have that kind of number shows fraud. The rest of the machines were all in line with the registered Dem vote %. They modeled the odds of that occurring naturally. It was 1 in 1.5million.

So the solutions have already been proposed by Dem congressional leaders and have been rejected over and over again.

1. Have an election holiday

2. Everyone who is a citizen is automatically eligible to vote

3. Have every system also have a paper trail that isnt system  generated so the tech can’t be rigged.

4. Allow early paper voting. If you miss that window then you have to go to the polling place to vote.

Next time either proofread your voice generated type or don't use it. It was painful reading your inaccurate talking points punctuated by the wrong words and misspellings. Also, you might want to provide some links for your horseshit claims. Be better.

Yes he certainly is . Trump’s only hope to win is low voter turnout. So of course he is against mail in votes. 2,things that make him clueless 1) in state GOP are actually running campaigns to say to ignore trump because they’ve are afraid the rural elderly who overwhelming vote GOP via mail in now won’t   Vote and open the door to local losses in rural counties where they were never possible before 2) more mail in votes tend to favor the GOP- military, elderly, rural

The clueless one is you. There is a gigantic difference between Universal Mail-In Voting and absentee voting. Learn the difference, but don't feel bad in doing so. Not much was expected of you.

Having a real conversation of facts with a Trumper is like playing chess with a pigeon. I move my rook, the pigeon lands on the board, kicks over pieces, craps , and then struts around like it won....

Can't even make up your own sayings just like other libs on this board. 3rd is correct, your grammar sucks so bad it's painful to read. Likewise, down here we expect people to be able to back up their claims instead of just throwing crap to see if it sticks

I know, I know... tough on some libs so try reading it slow, it might help

Your horseshit post was not worth taking apart piece by piece. If you want a real conversation then tidy up your writing/grammar and then back it up with something other than your partisan speculation.

I know it’s so horrible that people in Europe  start out with 5 weeks paid vacation...... I am so glad I had to work 30 years to earn what they get on day 1.

We need I get over ourselves.

We have some great things in the US but we are arrogant and we need to improve or get out the way. What worked 5o years ago doesn’t work now.

Why do you feel the need to take away others freedoms? My first real job out of college I got 5 days of vacation each of my first 4 years. I also made 25k more in 2005 then I do now. That job allowed me the ability to build my house and set up a life for me and my kids. If that job required me to take 5 weeks of vacation the office would have had to hire more people and that would have been less for me. I understand you are a minimum effort guy but please allow us who work hard the freedom to use our abilities.

Oh hey guys, we've got yet another "conservative" that does nothing but spout DNC talking points.

How cool and edgy.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm a 6'8" Olympic power lifter and street fighting god who makes Usain Bolt look slow on the track.

I came to my teams football site to read about football, which I will go back to.

I already know my intellectual and economic superiority to the Breitbart knuckledraggers who read Trump tweets like they are wisdom. I used to vote for the GOP when it actually stood for something, but I have enough common sense and moral character to understand that the reality TV host carnival barker in the white house is running this ship into an iceberg. His decisions will take decades to fix.
