Big Blitz
You will know, or possibly be, someone who gets COVID-19 after a vaccine. Here's what to expect, according to 2 people with breakthrough cases. Breakthrough infections, or COVID-19 cases diagnosed after someone is fully immunized, were supposed to be rare - at least that's what a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggested in May. At the time, data indicated that just 0.01% of vaccinated Americans got a breakthrough case from January to April. But that was before the more transmissible Delta variant became the dominant strain in the US. https://www.businessinsider.com/covid-after-vaccine-symptoms-to-expect-breakthrough-cases-2021-

If I catch it and don't have to be hospitalized or die I'm calling it a win. You don't get vaccine so you don't catch it (you probably won't), you take it so you don't die. Big Blitz
Rates of double-jabbed people in hospital will grow – but that does not mean Covid vaccines are failing The next wave of Covid will be different. When cases soared in spring and winter last year lockdowns rapidly brought them back under control. This time it will be vaccines that do the hard work. But Covid jabs are not a perfect shield. They slow the spread of the virus, help prevent disease, and reduce the risk of dying. They do not bring all this to an end. In the months ahead many thousands of people will be in hospital with Covid. What may seem more troubling is that ever more will have received two vaccination doses. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jul/22/rates-of-double-jabbed-people-in-hospital-will-grow-but-that-does-not-mean-covid-vaccines-are-failing Edited July 23, 2021 by Big Blitz

But if and when you get infected, don’t complain. If you get really sick and have to be hospitalized, don’t complain. If you have to be put on a ventilator, don’t then cry to the doctors and nurses that you want the vaccine, because it will be too late. And if you transmit it to your child or grandchild and they get seriously sick from it, start figuring out what you’ll say to the child and the child’s parents. And how you’ll live with yourself if God forbid the worst happens. Your statement that you don’t think you need it crystallizes in a few words the entire problem we’ve had since the pandemic started. Selfishness. You only think of you. We are still in a national crisis with this pandemic, and historically when this country has faced such challenges we’ve come together to overcome. The Vietnam war might be the only exception. But what we have right now are people cloaking themselves in fake claims of freedom and rights, people deliberately spreading lies about the science of the vaccines, and so in. All of it just is a cover for selfishness. We used to have a country where the people would rise above partisanship in a time of need. Not anymore. So don’t get it. The anti-Vaccine folks? Don’t get it. People will die needlessly. Younger folks including children will needlessly die and/or have lifelong illnesses. But you do you. 1
