I actually want Roberts out.  He doesn't do enough.  Would rather have Duke or Yeldon active.  Or EJ gainse brought in, due to the Wallace situation.  Seems like a better use of a roster spot.

I think McKenzie does too much stuff to sit......there are plenty of candidates for this

Foster

Krosft

The TE that commits a penalty every other play

If Wallace cant go you can roll with the player behind him and not activate a corner?  We have some guys playing safety that can also play corner

Sounds like Nsekhe had a scare.  Bad ankles/calves, etc can get into your head.

Real good he is back, especially with Watt being back.  Need all hands, even for an 80% Watt.

I think having both of them active helps against Watt. You need to play full effort vs Watt even when he is injured and defenses try to wear offense lines down and this will help keep both fresh.  In addition it will be useful at times to have a 6th lineman of field and Ford is great at run blocking and Nsekhe is better at containing a speed rusher on those plays.

Foster looked like a beast that one game on the few crossers he ran. I think he got nicked up that game or the next. If he is healthy I’m not entirely sure Duke is a better start. The Texans lack speed in the secondary and Foster could be a key in exploiting that.

Also, game is in a dome and on turf. Allen should have his best chance at a few deep balls in months.

Stunned that Nsekhe practiced.

I wonder if what happened in the game wasn’t a scare more than a real injury. The exact type of play occurred where he got rolled up from behind. Maybe a mental scare. Either way glad he was practicing and hope he is a full go Saturday.

Slick isn't going to sit.

They deliberately ran a TON of ghost motion and jet sweeps with him in week 17 to get it on film for Saturday.

I fully expect that ghost motion will be a big part of their offensive game plan. Expect a few misdirection plays from it--an Allen sweep, a dump off to Knox/Kroft, a naked wheel route for a deep shot, etc.

If he's not in the game, you don't get the buy in from the defense's film study.

until he muffs it or fumbles like he has before many times

He also give up yards by not fielding some punts and letting them roll past him. He did it vs. the Jets at it cost them 12 yards. Those are twelve yards that don't show up on a stat sheet. If it doesn't show up in the stats I guess it’s not important.

Roberts is vastly superior the McKenzie as a returner. Sloppy ST would kill a team who relies on defense to win. Not sure why many fans don't realize the importance of that phase of the game.

Agree.  Everything si going to be dictated by the matchups.

Roberts can change the game in an instant with a PR or KR.  Just because he hasn't broken a long one yet this year doesn't mean it can't happen Saturday.

If he did we would probably just be flagged for illegal block in the back.

They have done that every week for over a month.  Maybe ran the actual Jet sweep twice.

you could make a similar statement about pretty much any player.

Wallace has no chance to play. They will be fine with Fuller out and K. Johnson.

Need Lawson the most. Nsekhe being able to go would be a plus but Ford will play the entire game.

I would bench Foster for Duke.  I just don't see what Foster brings that Brown and McKenzie can not. Duke brings size and hands.

Why would you say Wallace has no chance? If he’s practicing, albeit with a wrapped ankle, what leads you to believe that he won’t be ready Saturday evening?

They’ve mixed it in for sure; Sunday it felt like every other snap was Slick in ghost motion.

Either way, I think they’ve been playing the long game with it, and I expect to see some payoff.
