It’s a slideshow and it includes guys who arent draft eligible. But McSorley lost a lot of weapons so will be interesting to see how he does this year.

To start the year I think Jake Browning has earned the right to be considered the #1 QB.   I think that changes as the year progresses and Drew Lock eventually becomes the number 1 guy, but that will depend a lot of his ability to increase his completion % and win some games at Mizzou.

 

Ryan Finley gets a lot of hype, but I think he is a consistent yet underwhelming prospect.  Think he is more of a late 1st round guy.

 

One guy to keep an eye on is Andrew Ford from UMASS.  Plays at a terrible program, but he has all the tools.

To be clear, that link isn't ranking them as NFL prospects; just as college players. So far, I've put in significant film time on three QBs:

I view all 3 of them as 1st round prospects at the moment, though the latter two I'd categorize as fringe 1st rounders at the moment. I expect Lock to be a top 5-10 pick if he can sustain last year's level of play though.

I think we got some good ones. Even Cam Phillips in UDFA has a shot at making it through camp, potentially on PS.

I've seen a lot of Herbert near the top of quarterback boards.. If this stays true into the draft, we're looking at an extremely down year for quarterback's.  I see a lot of Josh Allen in Herbert, except Herbert is a worse version. 

 

He shows good arm strength and mobility, but his accuracy is horrid.  While he's got a big arm, his velocity is average at best.  

 

That being said, Herbert is the only quarterback I've watched thus far and haven't put any work into Drew Lock who is another consensus pick at the top of quarterback boards.

A QB will go top 5-10 in basically every single draft class as long as it isn’t a disastrous one like the EJ class. He’s the best in this class at the moment IMO. Doesn’t quite have the arm strength of Josh Allen, but he has very good physical tools and is a better passer than Allen at this point. My biggest knock on him is that Missouri’s system last year was very simple. It’ll be interesting to see how he adapts to a new coaching staff this year.

I think he could also impacted by the change in OC . Joe Morehead was great at designing the offense for him. I’ve always thought McSorley was “Mayfield Lite”. He was a big time recruit as a safety believe it or not.

Lock is an absolute stud. -Period. 

If Tyree continues to grow, he too will be a damn scary prospect.

Bret Rypien is solid & under the radar

Malik Rosier is another very smart kid who's growing.

 

19 seems like a better class than '18 if you ask me.

As a true Sophomore, 67.5 % completion percentage, good for almost 10 YPA.  Are you sure you’ve seen Herbert play?  Please explain how he has “big arm” but “velocity average at best.”

I admittedly need to watch him more before i’ve got any sort of final opinion on him, and that’s with a whole season upcoming, but yes i’ve watched him against Arizona and Arizona State. 

 

What I mean in the difference between arm strength and velocity is that he can chuck the ball 70-80 yards, but he can’t necessarily zip it into a tight window 15 yards downfield.
