Got to get a top talent at QB from this draft, it is what all this moving around the draft board has been all about IMO. Build around the QB but first you need one to start the process. Mcbackup was signed to a backup contract, let's not forget he couldn't take the job from Dalton. He may start 2018 but I doubt he will finish it as the starter. I see a trade up to 2 or 3 for a QB and then IMO we will draft a LB late in the second after a trade up from 3rd. 2 hours ago, JerseyBills said: Right but I don't see any of these guys with Franchise QB written on them. BBillsWestCoast
Beane and McDermott are great at drafting LBs and CBs. They will find a speedy MLB and another corner. Dawkins proves they can land a lineman too. QB is what scares me. We will never know who they loved best after we trade up. How's that worked for the Bucs and Jameis Winston and his 18-27 playoff less career? Mariota and his 20-22 record. Derek Carr and his 28-34 career record? You got your Andy Daltons, Philip Rivers, Joe Flacco, list goes on. Point is besides Flacco, these qbs never made it anywhere in the playoffs. We saw Keenum Foles and Bortles have their teams within one game of a Super Bowl. The game is changing, great defenses , great overall teams are trumping great qbs, because the golden age of qbs is over There are less and less franchise qbs. If you have a guy that fits your scheme, you can easily win with a great overall team until you get a Franchise an. It's all about W's.. Winston, Mariota ,Carr , all way higher touted than any QB coming out this year, 66 -83 . Zero playoff wins. Tyrod Taylor, clearly not a better QB, had a better record and the same amount of playoff appearances in his first 3 seasons Winston Carr and Marcus! Hard to argue that. With who your talking about 1st off Brady has carried a not so talented team for many years. Rogers is amazing but was injured this season. Brees had one of the top offenses this year but Philly was just too complete. Big Ben scored over 30 points in that loss, sadly Bortles out played him, all about QB play when both teams score over 30 some points or was it 40 some points for each team. I know both teams lit it up in that playoff game. Big D game is low scoring games where offenses can not move down the field not who can stop the other teams offense once or twice a game. A good QB will score and move his team regardless of how good the D is he is playing against. I don't care how good a teams D is without having a QB on that team that can score and give that d some rest it just doesn't matter. Look when we had a top 3 D, we still didn't even make a wild card birth. It is all about having a top QB without one in this league nothing else matters, it is why teams spend so much to get one and that is why it is called a QB driven league.. BuffaloBillsGospel
I would very much like the Bills to trade up top 5 for a QB, if they can do so without using the #22 pick and trade our pick next year I'd be quite happy then take ILB Leighton Vander Esche for Boise State , he would be our Luke Keuchley at ILB, big, fast, solid in coverage. He is the missing piece in the middle, Preston Brown is a very average ILB imo. Edited March 15, 2018 by BuffaloBillsGospel
