They signed him because they are drafting a QB and they want him to be the mentor. Bridgewater is damaged goods he's not being guaranteed a starting gig anywhere. They have enough to trade to 2, 3 or 4 if they want to. it is certainly possible that nobody at the top wants to trade out of their positions. Cleve -QB, NYG - Barkley, Indy - they probably do want to trade, Cleve - already has a ton of picks and may want to use pick 4, Denver will take a QB if they can and then Jets pick. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

McCown is there to coach the rookie as he transitions from qb to coach and rookie gows from back up to starter. Don't be a fool. Jets are def drafting a QB this year.
